Well here is the little button back in October:



And here it is now! Holy etoliation!

I think it should look pretty cool come summer when new growth will fatten out on top :laugh:

And then we go this plant. A bromeliad I think. Anyone know what it is and what condidtions it likes? I let it dry out too much over winter break and the top of the flower browned :frown:

An ex girlfriend of mine had one of those plants. It did pretty well just sitting in a south facing window and being watered regularly, not special treatment. After being removed from the greenhouse, it seemed to suffer a little, losing the neat colorful bit, though it came back.

let it heal man...

i think the watering is a little bit more needed...because its a sub tropical plant..right?

water the leaves...(those places in the center of the plant where it forms a concavity where made for that...when the rain falls the watter stay in there)

It will heal???

I know nothing about this type of plant.

Should I be watering the soil-less peat mix its stuck into? Or be misting it, letting water collect in it?
