The one they worship isn't Jesus. It's their imaginary Jesus that the religious leaders created for them. I read the bible, and Jesus said shit like "Love your neighbor", "Give to the poor", while he went around feeding and healing people etc. etc.

I never once read him saying we need to kill people because we're running out of the oil stuff that we're polluting and destroying the Earth with.

Self defense in general can be a hard topic to discuss in a nation that believes the only defense in the best offense...

If I'm not mistaken the War in Iraq is actually happening so we can defend America from WMDs... and to defend Iraq from lack of democracy...

American intelligence (not the CIA stuff, a bent definition in itself) weakens everyday in the hands of their bent definitions... a war on drugs is where you throw humans in jail... democracy is when you dictate politics to a foreign country... freedom is when you obey without question... and slavery is NOT when your life is owned by another man under a contract...

Violence is not O.K. period, and one day we'll all be naked in the woods again with no one to attack us, because everyone who is still here will be running around having fun.

(Until then yes I will defend myself, even though violence is wrong and against the nature of Love. So yes, I'll defend myself, but this this is only because I have no reasonable alternative choice in the matter.)

I'm all for "peace" and understanding, and whatever that means to me, BUT, come on get fucking real man, have you read philosophy??? The world is allot more complex then you think. PLEASE READ, The heart of things, its written by a philosophy prof. and in it he dives into many subjects. Each subject is only a few pages long, but what he writes in those pages is pure GOLD. One chapter is titled "just war" I believe.  I didn't agree with Iraq, hell I cant name allot of wars I would ever agree with, but there is such a thing as a Just war.

At least a war that is justified based on destroying a much darker evil.

If you lived in a place with NO freedoms, NONE, not one. How do you change things?
The Zapatista attack on the Mexican government comes to mind when I think of a just war.  Anyway........... Philosophy IS KEY :wink:
