Well TOOl is great, but Modest Mouse are not repetitive or boring. YOU didn;t listen close enough IMO. Musicians know something with depth, and dammit, I'm a little artist mother fucker, these guys have depth. Dont question my indie-musical taste bitch :P :smile:

Fer real tho... Good News was almost a letdown when compared to Moon and antarctica, lonesome crowded west, long drive for someone with nothing to think about, build nothing out of something, etc.

OLDER MATERIAL, FTW

And the new single is making me wonder what the future of the mouse will be like. Hopefully it's just super catchy like that because it's the single and the rest isn't straightforward disco beats... I trust the mouse.

well i LOVE modest mouse but i've just finished listening to their new album "We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank" and i have to say its getting suckkier every time they put an album on this new label!!!

it has lots its magic for me...

Their new CD is leaked already. It's alright. The first half is pretty shitty and sounds like a more generic version of Talking Heads. Have you heard the single "Dashboard"? It's all in that vein -- catchy and dancey. The last half is decent and has its moments. I think I'm just bored of Brock's lyrical style; it's like he's saying the same thing over and over on every album recently.
