yet you're trying to shove the way you see things down someone elses throat,
claiming that he's a facist because he doesnt see it the way you do

Now you're shoving the way you see it down my throat. I never said I thought he was a facist, I said he was teetering close to supporting facism through repeating their slogans, even if he doesn't even realize it.

i'm sure he's a great guy, so don't be so quick to misjudge my comments.

ll I see are the facts, fact is you can in fact support the military and the
troops without support of bush, his cronies or his petty blood for oil war, I in
fact support the military for many reasons, some are quite seditious

and if we ever meet in person... I'll be shoving something besides words down your throat :naughty:

were they ever really not free though, I mean have you ever actualy met an iraqui
and discussed the political climate or life of the citizens? did you know that
almost ever iraqui home has at least one fire arm, many were much like those of US
citizens, there were several... if the people wanted to be 'freed' from sadam,
they had the fire power to do it

Sorry I don't swing to the "wild side" brah.

"Support our troops" is catch-phrase. Remember all of the gay ribbons on people's cars?

Like I said, I don't support the organized use of force by nations, and if I were to have a "worldview", I would like to see every military in the world abolished.

And I want it done by 2012.

It might have been a good foreign policy decision if the administration hadn't botched it into such a goddamn fucking clusterfuck.

I'm saying if it had been prosecuted in a competent manner.  Nobody likes war.  But that's what foreign policy tends to entail--sort of the pain of being a nation-state, and especially the last superpower on the globe.

But that is a fairly hefty "might" on my part--given what we know now, a global diplomatic pressure offensive might have worked.  But that would bring up another set of difficulties, though they wouldn't involve IEDs and sectarian violence.

Yeah, leave it to the Republicans to attempt to piggy-back support for an illegal war on Mother's Love.

I might have supported it if it had any hope of success. Saddam was definitely bad news, and deserved to be deposed, but only if he could replaced with a stable, relatively free government(or three governments, as should have been the case). However, the plan(if you can call it that) was doomed from the start. That is, if you believe the stated motives for going in there. I suspect, however, the the motives have much more to do with benefitting certain sectors of the US economy, particularly those with close affiliation to the administration. I voted "against."

I think it's waaaay more sinister than that, new world order sinister.

Thing is though: There will never be a new world order unless every muslim is dead. And that's what they failed to realize in Iraq.

If I honestly defend myself, at least I'll know my heart's in the right place doing it.

Governments creating killing machines is an entirely different matter.

The world has gone so far away from the garden that it's hard to imagine peace on Earth, but it will come. One day.  :mushroom2:
