Do you support the Iraq War?

I'm surprised at how many people think that the soldier who is refusing to serve in Iraq is wrong. I realize that doesn't necessarily mean you support the war but still it suggests to me a lot of you don't find it as repulsive as I do. I thought I could run a poll but it's too hard to frame the answers for an issue so complicated; there's too many options like 'I'm theoretically against the war but since we're in we need to stay the course' and so on like that.

Please, don't argue the case about the dissenting soldier in this thread because there's another thread for that and the same arguments are just going around in circles at this point.

On second thought I think I'll include a simple poll although I realize it's a gross over-simplification.

I think the war is pointless. No matter what we do in the Middle East it is going to be a filled with religious theocracies. Democracy simply won't work. We should glass the miserable shit-hole.

I support our soldiers and the world of shit they got thrown into, but I certainly don't support the war at all.

I guarantee they'd rather be home, too.

I support human beings. In that way I do end up supporting the soldier, but not because he or she is a soldier.

I do not support the Iraqi War in terms of practicality. The manner in which the process was carried out was not effective and did not respect the current state of reality.

However, I suspect that I do support the Iraq War on the ideaological level. The actions carried out via Saddam Hussein inflicted a lot of suffering on fellow human beings. I think that there could have been an effective way of taking action in order to assist other individuals without creating the undesireable situation that is currently occuring.
