Hey man, I am glad this post came back up. Recently I have been interested in my dreams a lot more. I started reading a lot about lucid dreams and dream yoga. You can get a lot more done in dream yoga and meditation than in waking. So I've started recording some of them when I woke up, and never realized how odd some of them were and how normal and routine the others. I am definitely going to try and keep a log next to my bed so I can wake up and instantly write them.
But last night before I went to bed I told myself I was going to experience the cosmic consciousness/divine like I experienced in that one trip. So guess what happened to me last night?
I had a similar experience! I remember being "awake" in my dreams. Finally, getting rid of the ego for a bit and waking up thinking "wow, I just had a spiritual dream" feeling very resfreshed and pure.
Then going back to sleep I had some of those panicy dreams that followed. Me and two or three of my friends were hitch hiking on this long road. We only had bookbags filled with what we needed. Somehow we ended up in this small neighborhood and came across an empty house. The backdoor was wide open so we figured we would stay there as it wasn't breaking and entering or anything.
We stayed there for a few days and setup in different rooms. Some of the rooms even had beds left behind. I remember being happy we had a place to live for a while. Time went by, maybe 2 or 3 days, and then one morning I looked outside a window and saw a truck parked on the road directly behind the house. I somehow knew this was bad. The man that owned the house came pounding on the door and yelling and screaming at us to get out. I just kept trying to explain to him that we hadn't forcefully went inside, that the door was ajar when we got there. We didn't think we were doing wrong by staying in an abandoned house, and we had even cleaned up the rooms and the kitchen some. He didn't care and wouldn't listen. Some other guy showed up and they were going to beat us up or something. That's when the dream fades off and all I remember is running inside to pack up the little of my belongings.
But I can't recall the dream where I became aware. I just remember thinking to myself.. "Aaahhaaa! So this is how you do it." Then went on to experiencing the ultimate for a bit. Man, I hope to start this as a regular occurence like you had bug. How's that still going?

Indra's Net - There is an endless net of threads throughout the universe. The horizontal threads are in space. The vertical threads in time. At every crossing of threads there is an individual. And every individual is a crystal bead. The great light of absolute being illuminates and penetrates every crystal being, And every crystal being reflects not only the light from every other crystal in the net, But also every reflection of every reflection throughout the universe.
