Spore recovery

I posted this question earlier but i can't seem to find it...

I was wondering if anyone knew how to extract spores from dried mushrooms that they've purchased from a local vendor and what to do with them to begin cultivation

how did you post it earlier when this is your first post?

anyways ive heard of putting water on the cap to make it moist again so it will drop spores but i dont know how true this is maybe u can cut it open and do a swab on the gills and do some agar work trin to iso myc from the contams

LOL you noticed the faulty logic too.

wardeth just try to get a spore print man. If you can't order in your area from a shroomery vendor then see if you can get one from who ever is supplying you with the mush.

Otherwise..yeah agar work.
