Bad Breath

I brush my teeth regularly, use mouthwash and Altoids throughout the day, but I'm still told that I have extremely bad breath. I'm not a smoker, and I stay hydrated all of the time, but I think this may have something to do with the fact that I'm currently on a bulking diet, because I've never had this problem before until recently. I'm thinking maybe it could be due to either the fish oil, peanut butter, or milk that I've been consuming, or perhaps a combination of all three. Does anyone have advice on how to keep your breath smelling fresh? Perhaps I should start flossing. Also, does anyone have any idea as to what could be causing this problem? Any feedback is appreciated, because this is really starting to damage my social life, and I'm really quite a clean, hygenic person.

do you brush your tongue every time you brush your teeth?

if not, start doing that, and make sure you get the white off (until you see only the pink of your tongue)

I thank that it could be the fish oil pill. Try to find some other way to get your omg-3 or eat fish two times a week.

If you are not actively cleaning your tongue with a scraper, or at the very least your toothbrush, you should begin doing so. Most offensive mouth odors come from the bacteria that collects on your tongue. One quick way to check is to take your finger and rub it on the back of your tongue then smell it. If it smells nasty then you know what your problem is. Mouthwash also goes a long way in preventing the overall mouth funk.

I don't know the amount of fish oil you are using but I have never heard of it causing a permanent odor. There are the "fish burps" but that is not the same as a constant odor. If you only take the oil once a day you should switch to taking it at bed time.
