More Cyan Finds (pictures)

Well after hunting my unusual forest area cyan spot, I ended up discovering cyanescens at a park only a 60 second drive away from my house. The habitat here is much like the habitat at my original spot, except a little dryer. Well here are the pics, left many pins there and will get more pics when I pay another visit in the next few days.














I was also wondering why the cyans were creamish yellowish before they are even picked? and does that indicate a loss of potency or is it just as potent?

Its wierd, I have more luck finding cyanescens in things other than wood chips, ive already scoped out and checked over 11 white bark wood chip areas, and came out with nothing. I have been finding them in almost completely forested areas, just with trails or campsites as the only human disturbance. And when they are in forest areas they often seem to be widely scattered, the pictures taken at the new spot were spread out in an area about 500 square feet. So I still have yet to find the motherload, but my hunting is just getting started.

Nice finds:thumbup: Its cool to see Cyan finds in the forest growing wild. As for them being a creamy yellow color thats because they are not  totally wet, they are probably sorta leather dry.

nice. if you want to find more in the same habitat, try looking under downed logs with sword ferns growing around them. it makes a nice little protective humidity tent and that is the only situation i've had much luck finding wild ones in. two spots had 50+ specimens in a few [like 4] square feet. mothing compared to landscaping beds but damned good for what where wild cyans.

yeah, i second that. last year when i was hunting if it had rained for a few days, then i went hunting a few days later, the mushrooms were starting to turn kind of cream colored like that...it's just starting to dry a little for you and making less time/trouble for when you dry them later...

the term for this effect is hygrophanous. it is a trait common to many mushrooms, Psilocybes inclusive.

Yes man thats exactly where they were, by sword firns and cut down trees.

And to anyone who can answer, I was wondering are these mushrooms enough for two people to trip pretty good?

wow, you are lucky to be finding cyans in the wild, growing in a substrate other than woodchips. its wierd, i've never ever been able to find cyans growing in forested areas, so i used to kind of think it was a waste of time. maybe there is an enviornamental preferance of forested areas the cyans like to grow in?? hmm...

Yup sometimes you Even find completly dry Cyans that are half or even fully blue.still no luck here in humboldt yet how about you Shroomeryfinder?

I havent ever eaten cyans but from what everyone has told me that is more than enough for two people. I would say depending on how much you have eaten in the past I would start with half a gram dry which should give you an idea for how much more or less you want for your desired level dose. Again I havent eaten that specied so wait for another poster to give you a better idea but i would think a half gram would be fine for anyone...

hell yeah it will. i can't tell which coin that is, but thats plenty for two, im sure. especially since they are still fresh.

Ok thanks, yeah its the smallest possible coin, a dime. But yeah I am giving these to my friend and her boyfriend and I was wondering if this was enough for two people. I dont have much cyan experience, but I took about 5 medium sized dried caps before and tripped pretty good, level 3; even though I have a pretty low tolerance when it comes to drugs, I still think they should have a nice trip.

assuming that your friends havent eaten cyans before, you may be wise to suggest they begin dosing with only a few, and feel it out from there...afterall, these electric little bastards are alot more potent than Cubies  :mushroom2:

Nice finds! I should mention you shouldn't ever state that you are selling mushrooms. N E way 3-4 shrooms each should do them fine, average dose is about 1 gram dry(10 grams wet).
