Trying to put in a few hours every day before the season ends.
Found a few platefuls of mostly smaller fruits today. Sheer luck.
From what I saw, most seemed to be fading from deeper chocolate colored to a more olive tan - either due to the age of the patch or effects of a closing season and age? Regardless for two hours of hiking on a beautiful day, a nice return on the invested time!
You guys have it lucky on your side of the sound is all I can say... more mulch!!
Here's the three plates:

Plate one (washed out due to flash.. colors are deeper than shown):

Plate two:

Peace!

Nice find. We may have more mulch but damn it's getting competetive I see people all the time now. Or maybe I just happen to pick where everyone else is , who knows, Oh well it's been a good season for how slow it started. Later

Thanks gang.. yeah I'm pretty happy!

Jimmy.. no some of the shrooms got banged up in the bag... nothing "too" knarly in there!
Found these while humming a few George Harrison tunes. Looked down and boom right at my feet!
Peace!

Yo King county searchers!
Anyone pulling up any cyans lately?
I haven't seen any in quite a while now.
But the rains and the warm temps... makes me think there's a potential for a flush.
Damned galerinas are still everywhere.. so what about de cyans mon???
Hope you all are digging the New Year and having deep non verbal communications with the great throbbing spirit, thanks to our organic power source!
Peace,
Roger

I haven't been out looking in over a week. I keep getting interupted from hunting by this thing called WORK!
OH well, at least I can buy more trip art/music with the fatty paychecks.
Anyone else still finding cyans?

I'm stuck with midterms this week But every now and then I'll see a lone mushroom or two on my way back from class, in a patch I found earlier in the year. Last good patch I found was two weeks ago but I really haven't been looking lately. The weather should be good for it, maybe almost too warm. Anyone else got an update?

I kicked around a bit near West Seattle today. Saw a fair amount of galerinas, which raised my hopes Id see some cyans.. but nothing.
Of course it was a pretty random selection for spot and it could have been just well picked over.. but I didn't see a trace.
I keep hoping that cyans will go through fruiting spurts like galerinas (they seem to never die!!), but it sure appears to me that cyans have a much more fixed seasonal schedule.
The again what the hell do I know! I just am missing the thrill of a find.... Peace all!
