Why is my vomit yellow every morning after drinking?

Can anyone tell me? After drinking any kind of alcohol; clear, rum, rye, anything, the next morning when I'm feeling like crap and feel the need to purge, what comes up looks like watered down orange juice every time. I've heard people saying that alcohol turns in to fermaldehyde in your stomache...is this what im seeing?

It's bile and that's not a good thing. Cut down on the drinking.

its been a long time since I have drank enough that the next morning I am puking bile and not just the water I keep downing.. though I dont miss it either! lol

LOL, no I'm not saying that I puke EVERY morning after I drink. I'm saying that when I do throw up it is usually that color, and these were nights where I did not drink any water prior to sleep. I guess that it is bile then, I just didn't know it was yellow.

its bile. Thats really bad to be passing bile. its like there is nothing left to puke but the bottom of your stomach. Drink alot of water after you are done drinking and even some before you drink.

Yep it's bile. Stomach acid.
Happens when you puke so much, there's nothing left in your stomach.
Then you dry heave for about an hour.
Then you start puking bile.

It's only happened to me once.. when I had really bad food poisoning.

If it's happening to you frequently from drinking.

SHit man slow down your drinking.

At least eat some freaking food before you start drinking.

And drink water too. Yeah you know that stuff they make alcohol with. Alcohol doesn't count as water.

Just had to make sure. I had a friend who thought alcohol DID count as water. Now his liver doesn't hardly work.

Also.. when you're puking the day after you drink.. that's a bad thing. If anything you should be puking the night of your drinking.

Drink less alcohol, or don't drink heavy liquor so fast. Drink water during the time you are drinking. Seriously. It helps a lot.

Hey maybe you need to really mellow out on your drinking if you puke every morning from drinking. I drink a lot myself but hardly ever puke. Or just stick with beer like me, I drink hard stuff only 1 or 2 times a month at the most.

Oh yea BTW, not to double post but alcohol can kill you, just because it is legal doesnt mean it it safe, just look what tobacco does to people.  :smirk:

Not true, I have a friend that had alcohol poisoning...He could have died if he had more then a half gallon of vodka, and this guy was 6 feet tall at the time. But he was only 16 years old at the time. Good thing he puked a lot in the ambulance, or he most likely would have been dead.

Yeah, I puked bile up one time after 4 hydrocodone and some everclear. Once your stomach is empty you start dry-heaving and vomiting up bile.

The fact that it is happening the next morning probably means you had mild alcohol poisoning.

Sever alcohol poisoning can kill you, by the way, so drink safely.

I didn't think that puking bile was that bad, if I drink too much sometimes I'll wake up and puke, go back to bed, have to ralph some more, and then I'm ralphing bile. What really bothered me tho, is since my freshman year of college (5 years ago), every time I upchuck, I spit a little blood afterwards. But then a couple weeks ago I woke up, spewed the burrito I ate, and all the shit I had drank before I went to bed, and this time I actually puked blood. Like the toilet water turned red from it, normally it would be a small amoount that I would hack up after puking. This time was different. Needless to say I'm a little more careful of my intake of booze. BTW I don't puke every time I drink, normally when doing shots, and mixing liquors, but by all means it's not every time, only when I get plastered, I'd say once every few months I get that drunk. Also, I make a conscious effort to rehydrate and stop boozing for a while before bed, and to eat something if I'm real drunk. sorry for the rambling
