Pollyfill filter question, will this work?

I bought Pollyfill batting, it's like pollyfill sheets. I'm wondering if it will still work as a filter, and if so, should I use a hole in the top of the lid and jam it with the pollyfill, or just use it like you would use tyvek.

I want to talk to you about appearance. Most of you dress like shit. I don't know what your financial situation is like right now but you need to buy at least one decent suit. There is a minimum level of aesthetic professionalism that we have here. In a couple of months you'll be able to outfit your whole closet, but for now just get something to hold you over. There's an important phrase that we use here and I think it's time you all learned it. "Act as if". Do you understand what that means? Act as if you are the fucking president of this firm. Act as if you have a nine inch cock. Act as if. To do this properly you need to at least look the part. So go get dressed.

it is too open and airy to be a filter... instead of tyvek you can also cut up and use those fiberous envelopes from the post office, the big envelopes that aren't quite fabric and not quite paper. or just aluminum foil with the injection holes covered up with micropore tape or any kind of breathable surgical tape

Stuffing a hole would probably be the better choice. Just don't get it too tight or the gasses can't get through.
