Mom doses little girl, ditches her, wtf?

Ok, so today i had one of the worst experiences of my life.

This girl at this hospital i volunteer at, i take care of the little kids, her mom just dropped her off a little b4 i got there, and she was screaming and crying and just puking something viscious and like...god it was horrible. She kept on falling over and making this weird bubbling noise and she was like 2. So we called the lady to come check her out

i guess shes recovering right now in the hospital, but they cant find her mom and they were saying something about she had taken either acid or mushrooms or something, i wish i wouldve gotten more info. The were saying tripping (i found this....weird....) but,.....god...

so theres that. It was terrible, i hope shes okay, i really do.

:confused: im kind of uneasy right now as to why a mom would do that to her kid....i feel kind of.....maybe privlidged? not the right word, but to experience this...

ugh. guh.

well thats it, i really hope she doesnt remember this when she grows up!

Here's what I'm wondering...would it be worse for the child to stay with her mother or to be taken by the state?    Hopefully it was just a bad mistake on mommy's part and nothing malicious.    Here's a big prayer for the little one  :heart: :heart: :heart:

I feel like i should be allowed to get follow-ups on this story, since i took care of her, but i guess not.

im guessing it happened like this:

1. mom buys acid
2. mom drops kid of to go enjoy acid
3. mom looks in purse, realizes acid is gone
4. mom realizes kid might have eaten acid, or have it
5. mom ditches kid as she is afraid of terrible prison time

Bubbling noises from acid.. ok.. well, I didn't dose when I was two years of age, but I find this hard to believe.

Besides, kids eat all sorts of stupid shit while they are in their larval stage. What if she accidentally ate morning glory or datura? The pretty flowers...

I'm sure it could make a 2 year old throw up...my guess is...that it was definitely some type of drug the mommy was using(why else would she ditch her at the hospital) but u know what at least the mother dropped her off at teh hospital so shes not completely evil

and as was said I HIGHLY doubt the mother "dosed" this girl on purpose...u should change the title of the thread cause its misleading...she probably got into it and started to freak out and when the mother realized what had happened she rushed her to the hospital and then took off to cover her own ass...it was a mistake to take off but an understandable one...and as I said AT LEAST she took her to the hospital

Even though i agree it is highly unlikely she purposely dosed the little girl, the mothers irresponsibility of leaving a drug where a 2yr old can find and consume it is completly inexcusable and by her neglect of the child it pretty much comes out to the same thing, whether she had intended to dose her or not.

The mother isn't evil, just stupid and unfit to care for the little girl. I may sound a little bitchy but this kind of thing infuriates me, what kind of mother would do this to their 2yrold child? Abandon them in a time of need?

If you have kids and use drugs, you main priority is keeping your kids safe. You lock up your shit somewhere they cant reach, teach them that 'mommy's things" are not for play time. I know there are parents here on the board who have little ones, and i'm positive they take some sort of precautions regarding their kids and their drugs.
