Planning a shroom trip, help please.

Hi, I am planning to go camping in the next couple of weekends in Mt rainier national park with a few good friends. We plan on tripping there. ( I have heard nature trips can be alot funner and less stressful ) I have tripped 3 times. And all of the 3 times 3/4 of the time i had a bad trip. All 3 of these situations was when i was paranoid about going back to my parents and having to face them, which, what i think is what led me to a bad trip. And this time im going to be out in nature, stress and worry free.

My questions to you guys are: What time of day do you recommend? night? day? day right before nightfall? ( although i am very skeptical about night time, it could potentially be a very dangerous situation)

And also tell me about your trips in nature. And whether they were good or bad compared to city tripping.

What kind of things could i do or things i could take on the trip to have the best possible trip i can.

We also plan on bringing 6 grams of weed, so tell me whether or not weed has made your trip better, or worse.

Please help me, thanks.

(ps. I also have to add that i go camping atleast once a month in wilderness, national parks across washington, and i have found that when i smoke weed when camping.. it always seems to be atleast 10x funner than doing it in the city, especially at night)

How much do you plan to eat?

Tripping in nature is one of the best things in the world  :cool:

Trip at daytime, you can always trip at night later, but daytime is better if you are a bit scared for a bad trip.

Night will give you way more visuals, but there is more in a trip than visuals.

Make sure you have enough to drink and something to eat.

A sober trip-sitter would be perfect to feel safe during your trip.

Some people like to smoke weed during a trip, some don't. I don't like it. If weed can make you feel paranoid, I would not try it on you first nature trip. Try some weed after the peak if you feel good. You can search this forum and read a lot about the mushrooms + weed combo.

I plan to do either 2 or 3 grams of cubensis.

And yeah day time sounds better than at night, considering im going to be in the middle of nowhere so i dont want to risk getting lost.

Out of the 3 times ive done shrooms though however, the one time i smoked weed was when my trip wasnt bad to begin with, and that the onset was good, both of my other times doing it, during the onset, i had just gotten overtaken by all of my thoughts (negative, bad thoughts) and which im pretty sure is what caused me to have a bad trip.

We will hike to our camp, then set up all of our stuff, and then take the shrooms and set off again, and i will be sure to have plenty of poweraid and food and candy. (last time i tripped i had one piece of candy, and i loved it, almost more than loving candy while just high off weed)

And a question for you: What kind of things did you do when you were tripping in nature?

We are going to trip in Mt rainier national park and we plan to just explore many things, forests, scenic view points, glaciers, wildlife, alpine wildflowers, etc.

Day trips are the best! Nature is just so beautiful. I have only tripped during the day once, but for me the coolest thing was laying on my back and watching the sky and the clouds. The clouds were making trails, moving, forming shapes, etc. and there were crazy visuals in the blue sky. It was absolutely beautiful, and I highly recommend it. Plus the sunlight feels amazing.

Um, water is really beautiful and facinating while tripping, but I don't recommend swimming. I never did it, but I believe that going under water would feel so amazing that you might try to stay under forever and well... we know where that would lead.

Go on a hike... as long as you have your bearings. It would be really frightening to get lost. Seriously, everything around you will just look glorious. I can't even describe it. Just do whatever, smoke if you want to. It will make your trip more intense.

Also, don't worry about having a bad trip. If you are away from the city and the "real world," you won't be scared, have negative thoughts, etc. When I had my day trip, I was euphoric until we got hungry and tried to go and get food. People that aren't tripping and going about their daily lives, or just the normal stuff you see every day is what makes a good trip go bad. We felt like every one was angry and that no one understood, so we got really sad. Just try to stay outside and enjoy nature. It will be the best trip you've ever had.

Everyone's suggestions are very good, the only thing I have to add is take in all the beauty around you, it's like experience the earth in a completely new way.

Personally I preffer day tripping. Getting lost in the trees, clouds, feeling a blast of warmth wrap around you and sink into you when you step out into the sun. My suggestion would be spend a couple days before hand monitoring the sun. Get a general idea of what time it'll set then time the trip so one the sun's setting (around the time when it starts casting all sorts of colours on the clouds/sky) you should be starting to come down from the peak. I find this is the best way to end a good trip.

As far as weed is concerned I've only tripped without it twice but the two things I've noticed is that weed acts as a kind of signal which always seems to tell my brain to take the trip up a few notches. It adds more of a spin to the trip and seems to distort thoughts even more causing. They usually seem weirder, visuals intensify, and the trip just generally seems to get more active. Personally though I've preffered tripping without weed both times. The trip wasn't as in your face and felt more like an altered view of reality rather than a drug induced distortion of the senses (granted, both can be nice depending what you feel like, I usually find weed's a little better when you want to withdraw into your thoughts although your friends might not be so understanding when you don't really feel like talking much, this varies person to person of course...)

What I'd do is avoid weed for the day. Go for a walk and just do whatever you can to clear your head. (I find a walk with a set of headphones works best). Dose your shrooms when the sun should be setting in around 4 hours, enjoy the trip, then once you feel the intensity starting to drop and the comedown euphoria sets in start rolling up those joints (or have them pre-rolled to save time, and yes, I mean joints, they just seem to feel... right... Your choice though). By then you should have a nice euphoric glow, a really chilled out feeling, great sky/clouds to look at, smoking just feels like the best thing you could be doing, and you'll have just had an amazing experience to contemplate and occupy your mind with. There's absolutely no better way I'd like to spend a come down, maybe fishing would be an extra bonus, but yeah... I have to say, having yet to get a chance to trip while camping I'm somewhat jealous.

nature is THE most amazing thing, especially whilst tripping. it means so much, just the tree outside my window has meant so much, and helped me understand things that are completely unrelated. i would reccommend tripping during the day, but that was already covered, and to be safe.

Good yeah thank you guys for all your help, I will do it during the day, about 4-5 hours before sunset, somewhere nice and scenic.

I dont plan on doing this untill late June, but the weekend after next I am going Echo lake which is about 7-10 miles northeast of Mount Rainier, and for this camping trip we plan to bring 6 grams of weed, which weed alone is very fun while hiking through the wilderness.

And for you Edgekrusher, if you would like me to take pictures, I do not have a digital camera but my phone can take decent quality 640x480 picture that I will use regardless if you want to see them or not, but if you do, let me know and I will post them.

Thanks for your guy's help. Im looking forward to tripping in nature, however I wont be able to do it till late next month because of availablity in this area, but just smoking weed and hiking is great. Thanks.
