Could this question be MORE appropiate? This is the

Ive only taken mushrooms 3 or 2 times and i havent
had a full-on mush trip yet.. i got bad nausea after
eating @ 2 medium shrooms dry, had very pleasant
mellow mental visuals from a shroom tea, oh yeah and
i took a little mescalin 'bean' and some shroom and
i experienced the worst stomach pain and nausea all night.
I think maybe i hadnt eaten enough to get me over
the threshold, so i just had the negative physical reaction.
I think an average dose is 3 dry grams, 5 for the brazen
adventurous souls.

i dunno 3 grams seems to be a lot for a first time ... but thats somewhat being hypocritical since i did two pez hits for my first acid trip so i dunno. id rather wade in than jump in tho, not worth tryin to act cool for such a powerful drug. 5 dry grams seems like a lot, that must be fuckin crazy

For a first time trip....2 grams should be a good amount. Its not too intense, but intense enough. HAve fun on your trip!

On my first shroom experience, a couple weeks ago, I had an eigth. I ate half the 8th, about a half hour later i was havin a ball, colors had more 'neon-ish' element, felt like i was high on demerol. had some trouble expressing deep thoughts into words. an hour after eating, i decided wha the fuck and ate the other half. It came on pretty strong and was a quite overwhelming, but my shroom experienced friends kept shit positive and kept telling me to go with the flow. within twenty minutes of the unpleasantness and slight nausea, i let it take over, got into it and it was crazy and amazingly fun, i later came to a few realizations about how i live my life, and twas intense. visuals were crazy, anything i directly looked at was divided up into identical symetrical diamonds, and all i could see in my peripheral vision were shaking jittery bright 'oakley' circles making up pattens that streamed downward, those were the persistant visuals. and the trip now stands as one of the coolest experiences of my life. kinda hard to express it whilst drunk, oh well. The end. good night.

If you have no experinces with halucinogens I advice 1.5-2g....in that case you will deffinitelly have a good time. Higher doses can get you feel mentally heavy(maybe not appropriate word) and harder to control.

For a good first trip I would go with 2.3 dried grams. Thats a good level 2 to 3 trip. I usually eat 3.2grams even though I once ate 7grams some thing I'm not in a hurry to do again.

I really recomend 2 grams for the first time... I've done shrooms a countless number of times and I really think 2 is a good amount to start with... my first time I did 1 gram... I got amazing visuals. It got to the point where peoples heads on TV were getting bigger and smaller.. everything i tried to read was too wavy... so i recomend 2 grams. Now i dont do any less then 4 at a time. Its really cool when the walls start to look like big ocean ripples...

it really depends on potency, but i will cast my vote for 2g's. that's how much my first trip was, and i found it relatively easy to control i'd say between levels 2 & 3. anything over 3 grams is probably too much for your first time, it gets pretty intense and sometimes overwhelming around level 4.

Do an eighth if shrooms aren't that easy to get in your area. If you have the ability to just get them when you want, start low. But I think anyone could handle an eighth especially if you tripped before, make it memorable.

ok im a little confuzed about how much to take.....sometimes ill see people posting(trip reports) that they took like 17-20 grams. Then sometimes i see people talking about how they took 1-5 grams.....so which is. it? I want about a level 3-4 trip and Im about 6ft. and 190 lbs. Im not about to take 15 grams and blame it on shroomery.org :) so please help me out here....thnx...peece.

My first mushroom trip was about three years ago on the 4th of July. (wow, that's coming up pretty soon.) I was with my little brother and a mutual friend. I'd done acid at that time, as had my bro, but none of us had any shroom experience. I still don't know how much we had. We just split up a big pile of it evenly and ate it up. Pretty dumb, but none of us knew better. We did all have a good time, though. The next time I shroomed was alone on 3 grams. I've had a lot more since then, but that time was by far the best trip I've ever had.

btw Newt, even though I know I'm a number of years older than you, I've seen you around here for so long I tend to look at you as senior to me. It's strange when you point out that you haven't tried shrooms yet. I keep thinking of you as really experienced. I'm looking forward to reading your first trip report.

hey Newt how about you decide what a good dose to take is, then take out a half gram or quarter gram and save it to eat later during the trip if you want to, thats what I do, because if I take the dosage that I think I should take of anything usually I get blown out of the water, I think I took 1.75 gs my first time they were from a dealer so they were not especially potent but it was a blast.

no on ever mentioned if we are talking dry or fresh shrooms here, i thik everyone is assuming dry bt every once in a while it could be fresh. ive never shroomed but i think im gonna take 2.5 g's of some pretty potent shrooms for my first time
