THE NETHERLANDS


--Where you need a permit for everything but cant get a permit for anything
--Where about 1/10 of the land is built on but which still has beautiful countryside
--Home of wild raves and Gabber music (its not Gabba its GABBER, meaning buddy)
--Where almost all service personnel is either rude, aloof or indifferent
--The Colombia of ecstasy, a gram of pure MDMA going for $15
--Where we have bridges intended solely for wildlife crossing the road
--Where you pay about 50% taxes on the money you earn and pay 19% taxes on the money you have left if you buy something
--Where you can buy weed, hash and shrooms legally in shops
--Where 1/15 of the people are muslim
--Where the cows are black and white and all over the countryside, supplying milk for our famous cheese
--Where in the cafetaria you buy your thick fries either with mayonaise or buried in peanut (saté) sauce with a frikandel (a long meatloaf sausage) or a kroket (a short sausage consisting of a simple ragoût surrounded by a crispy breadcrumb crust)
--Where every single beer tastes so much better than Heineken that we're embarressed that that piss is the beer we're known for
--Where you can drive up to 75 mph on some roads, but half the roads are clogged by permanent traffic jams
--where you can't get into a club when you're not white
--where cooked potatoes mashed with cooked carrots and fried onions, with an added meatloaf sausage and covered with liberal application of the butter the sausage was fried in constitutes a national dish

--where you have late-night commercials for phonesex that shows everything you see in a pr0n movie
