odd contam perlite then a cake *pics* Anyone help?

First time it hit the perlite i let it get out of hand.... I cleaned the perlite.
Bout 4 days later a cake come down with the same mold. I thougt it was different mold on the cake cuz it hadnt sporulated yet. This mold starts off fuzzy looken white shit that grew over the cake layer then turns to a lime greenish color as it releases spores. Anyone seen somthing like this.
(pic prior to sporolation).
And the most recent perlite contam that popped up overnight pic. This perlite is only bout a week old and its already coming down with the same crap. Ive put sooo much h202 in the perlite it is not helping the situation....
Any thoughts on how to rid of this crap. Would prefer that it doesnt eat up any more cakes... I spray lysol liberally and let it settle before i open the terranium. Hands are washed down with alcohol before touching anything.

I would move the cakes to another terrarium and clean that one with bleach water. Ive never seen anything so resistant to peroxide.
Any one else have any thoughts?

I think you should just do the bleach thing...you have some really hearty stuff floating around your grow area. Be extra liberal in your lysol sprayings too.

Sounds a lot like trich. I tried to battle trich with both H2O2 and Isopropyl OH. Neither method worked for me. Increase your air exchange and possibly bake your perlite, and bleach your terrarium. It sucks when the contams move into the fruiting chamber.
I had some algea growing on my perlite. Maybe you have two separate contams. Algea (harmless) and trich. Your explaination of white turning to green sounds like trich. I wouldn't think that much could grow on the perlite itself seeing that there is a lack of nutrients in it. Try this: place a contammed portion of perlite out on a plate and see if it turns brown. As algea dries this is expected. If after drying the color remains you have another sort of contam.

If you are having problems with algea, remember, algea requires light to live.

Hmm i supose to could be algea. And just trich hit that one cake. Im gonna try yer thing with some of the funky perlite joshua and see if it turns brown.
If ya pour straight h202 on the shit it fizzles bad. It also starts fuzzy looken. Would trich even want to grow in perlite? Its not trich spores either.
Thanks a bunch of the input!

You have wasted enough labor ,growing time and funds attempting to wipe out a fungus that has a very good hold on that EXTREMELY POROUS perilite. If you garden, toss the contaminated perilite in a container for future use as an amendment. Use bleach in a % strong as you are comfortable in using ,& rinse your tub and implements ,thoroughly(look up effective % of bleach to water to be correct) ,Do this in the open air. Refill with NEW perilite. I understand if cost is a concern, but peroxide isn’t cheap & isn’t going to reach those hidden cavities made for water, with air bubbles. If at all possible,Please don’t use for mushroom as everything must be sterile because of the opportunistic nature of spores(especially in structures that are designed to give air places to hide ,as spores use those same ‘hidden’ places that disinfectants can’t find) good luck to all your endeavors!

Shroomery needs a necro post warning. If you try to comment on a thread over 2 years or so, it takes you a new page warning you that the post is very old. Sort of similar to when you go to post and shows you the preview. Something needs to be done to stop this. I get that noobs often don't know to look at the top of the thread warning them it's old.

The sysadmin in me would go a step further and prevent accounts with less than 50 posts/3 months from being able to reply to a thread that hasn't had a response in a XXX days without mod approval.

There is a warning at the top of the page before you post. Probably just didn't read it.
