Green or grey tint on cakes (pics)

Hey guys
The following pictures show some green/grey tint on the cakes. So, does anyone know what this is? Is it contamination or is it from humidity? More importantly, is it safe? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Greenish greyish stuff appeared within two days.
A green spec on the other side of the cake.
Thanks
peace

Hmm, well atleast I got someone's opinion. Right now the green/grey looks like it has spread but it's not thick (it's like a really thin fuzz) and it seems blue now. I don't know what it is. I read somewhere mycellium turns blue for some reason or other but the fact is only some parts of the mycellium are blue and the others are fuzzy white. If anyone has any suggestions on what they might be please post. Thanks. I'll try and get another picture up here soon.

The blue/breen you describe sounds like bruising.. It can happen even without touching the cake, due to contraction and expantion, i think.. :-)
I'd kepp on with it......or try a casting!
I myself, am very into experimentation, as I find alot of "tek's" to be boreing and generally a "best guess". :-) (not to say they don't work..)
I recently had a contam on a large Whole Brown Rice "pattie" with no verm, or any other additives. I cut the contam out and treated the wound with h202. The mould didn't come back!
I then cut up the block of brown rice(covered in Myc..)
I threw it onto some perlite in a plastic box and just put some potting mix(rich in peat moss and stuff) all over it (casing) and left it!
It's been two weeks now and I've harvested 5 medium shrooms and have about 50 pins coming up......

Isolate it.....if it is contamination you dont want it near your other cakes...just let it go and see what happens then

Sweet thanks guys! The cake looks fine now cuz about 7 nice one's were harvested and where they were plucked turned blue, and there stems also turned blue. The same color as the stuff I thought was contamination. I am fairly certain it's a healthy cake now.
Peace
