plus in all cities above a certain altitude you see pachanois and peruvianus growing on every corner... nice little specimen

Hey, I checked the bag of "Peruvian Torch" it claims to be Echinopsis !

P.S I've downloaded a catalogue from "Everybody's Garden Center" (Stateside) , it looks like they've got some -possibly- great stuff, bugger the shipping charges though!

Update: I've lowered the lights, cleaned the ioniser and fed them (with the "extract of Seaweed plus Complete Garden Feed" I mentioned before) today. Best I can do for now. I have also asked my friendly local hardware store man to find some mineral sources of the type "The Corporal" mentioned (the lack of availability of specialist feeds, especially in the U.K, is frustrating).

Growing my cacti and succulents indoors for six months I really need more powerful lights, I'm using two 125w energy efficients which is probably equivalent to 1000-1200w standard. However I have an idea that the bigger the lights the lower the ratio to standard wattage, mine are broad spectrum/infra-red bias. Anyone got any ideas?
