Kits can actually be helpful for first-timers. Kit users get step by step instructions with actual hands-on experience. Hands-on experience is priceless. From then on, they can replicate what they've learned and they'll know exactly what materials they need to shop for to get the job done. Alot cheaper I might add. Peace.

Hey look, if you have the cash burning a hole in your pocket, go for it...
It will save you a bunch of time, and at the same time you will be learning about the mushroom life cycle...
You'll soon realize tho that it will be much more cost effective to prepare your own spawn substrate (substrate inside the cakes that the spores grow on) and you will need a pressure cooker.
In conclusion, this kit looks good to me, only thing i wouldnt do is rest the cakes on the lids of the jars... instead you can just put the cakes on top of the perlite, i think they also added that...
For this kit, i would recommend Psilocybe Cubensis - MAZATEC... they do GREAT directly on perlite, they fuckin LOVE it
If you got the money and you want to be lazy, get the kit, it will save you some trouble
peace and good luck

It looks like a typical kit, can be made on your own for much cheaper. The biggest rip is the $50 for a dozen pre-made jars...plus shipping!
