You're right, there is nothing inherently flawed in being a trust fund baby, but stupid people who also happen to be trust fund babies are probably some of the worst of their kind (their kind being stupid folks). Being a trust fund baby can multiply or otherwise alter the effects of many common stupidities or personality problems, usually for the worse.

The reason being is not only are they stupid, but they are prone to think that they are intelligent and that they're important, responsible, yadda yadda yadda "I shit rainbows" yadda yadda "You all are great when you're making me happy" yadda yadda "don't argue with me, I'm always right".

My response:
"Woman, you have no comprehension of the many ways which I could upstage you or expose you for what you are. But you're hardly worth my time, so go away and please try to step in front of a bus when you do so."

It sounds like it was meant as kind of a tongue in cheek comment.

Personally, I find the "I hate people who enjoy spending money" crowd to be equally as vapid and self centered.

Even when bad things are happening in the world, do you still derive pleasure from smoking a joint?

Is smoking a joint any better than buying a pair of pants? Looking down on people just because they enjoy something is stupid, it's just a silly way to make yourself feel superior to another group of people. She didn't do anything wrong, she just went shopping.

Is shopping evil? If you enjoy buying things does it mean you're stupid? Does it mean you're hate filled? Does it mean you lack the ability to think rationally or treat others nicely? Of course not.

Of course, you can just assume she fits into some kind of trustfund, valley girl idiot stereotype, then you get to feel superior to another person for something completely meaningless. But that's no more rational that assuming all pot smokers fit into some kind of burnout, worthless, welfare idiot stereotype.

I've found that some poor stupid people are some of the most obnoxious and self absorbed people I've met. I don't think how much money you have has any effect on your stupidity.

So wait a minute, you hate these people because you say they all think they're really intelligent and always right, yet right here you're talking about how much more intelligent and better you are than she is, and you've based your judgement of her on a single sentence, that probably wasn't meant to be taken completely seriously anyways. Yeah, you're WAY better than "trust fund babies".  :rolleyes:
