spawn jars

question about my spawn jars. i'm using 1qt jars w/ whole grain rye.
i currently have no filter discs, but am exploring the option of using sterile tyvek to do the job.
since i dont have the tyvek available yet, what should i do, just loosely screw on the jar lids, and allow colonization (from potatoe dextrose agar) or should i wait and use the tyvek.
how would the tyvek be sterilized? put several pieces into an oven bag/jar? and pressure cook, then dry in my glovebox?

okay, what is tyvek, some sort of fabric? because i have no idea. also you dont need filter discs, mushrooms grew before them, and will continue to grow and be grown without them. and my cat alwasy kept her jars tightly screwed (tight screwin' is the only way to go in my opinion :) )

Judging by the amount of posts from you today, all of which could have been answered by doing a search and a little reading, you are a dumb ass. Be that as it may, even a dumb ass who knows of Tyvek should know that it's purpose is to block air infiltration while still allowing water vapor to escape. Do you think that this revolutionary idea of yours, which is the opposite of what you need to do will somehow work for just you?
