All I can think of why too much air is bad is that it is on the air you will get bacteria that will infect your casing or cakes
Also too much air will keep humidity too low, again, affecting your environment-
Id say keep fanning down to 2-3x a day.
Good Luck

What type of air exchange are you using? Fanning, air bubbler, cool mist on timer???

In nature, they get air exchange 24/7 and seem to grow ok....

Your main worry is to just make sure it's clean air your exchanging and to watch the humidity. Fans and stuff dry the air out.

Good air exchange IS crucial to good fruiting.

There is no such thing as "Too much air exchange," but unfortunately our best intentions to keep the air fresh usually goes hand in hand with decreasing the humidity.

As Max said, 'shrooms in nature get fresh air exchange 24/7. I would think that's ideal. As long as you have methods in place to keep the humidity level optimal for your cakes or cases, you'll be fine.
