amaranth

Has anybody used this formula:
20 grams amaranth flour
20 grams soy flour
9.5 grams agar
500 ml water
If so, what were the results of cubensis mycelium on this particular agar. I saw a picture circular zonate sectoring of cubensis mycelium that seemed unusual. Also does anyone no a good way to convert the weight of amaranth and soy flour and agar. Into the way you messure water with the above receipe. Like teaspoons or table spoons. mililiters i can't think of the word Volume or space from weight. i am broke. Why is that done you know weight, weight, weight, and than the water is given in voulume instead of wait?

Mass = (Density*Volume)

You need two of the above to figure out the other.

Yes I have used it, I beleive it is the entheogenesis442 recipe from www.stainblue.com, it works well, As good as any. I have always since used amaranth seed in all my substrate, the mycelium has never complained and shrooms are always SUPER potent, no matter what strain. Could it be the L-Lysine?

Amaranth contains all 20 amino acids, if I remember correctly. Anyone else know for sure?

isnt Amaranth one of the most nutricious of all grains? ive heard millet is too, but millet gets sticky and very starchy. rice as in alien substrate is excellent if done properly. rye is still my favorite because of shakability. of course shroom-mart finch seed does a real nice job too. amaranth is the tiniest of the grains and perhaps the most expensive.
