I was with 4 other people, 1 used lemon juice, the other 3 and I used vitamin c, I got sick, but nobody else did. I had a light bowl of cereal a few hours before.

I still got the jumpy feeling in my gut, as I always do. There is always a 15 minute period in my tripping where I stand by a tree, ready to yak. I've only actually puked twice but man it always feels like I am gonna, lemon method or not.

This method works plain and simple. Maybe people are hardheads and the mentality of not wanting to believe it makes them ignore it.

I could never eat anything under 5 grams of pan subbs and get where I needed to go before lemon. Now I never eat any MORE then 3.5 becuase at that level with lemon I lose all sense of self, reality, and even directions ( up is down no gravity no sense of anything ) I garuantee it works.

I've had numerous friends ( at least 7) get plowed away by this method. My one friend was arrogant and did 4.5 grams of subbs in lemon juice.....needless to say talking was not an option for him that night.

Not to mention it kills 75% of the neaseua I normally get from shrooms. I take the shot feel upset for maybe 45 minutes and it completely subsides.

The only issue I have with this method is heartburn.

Here's what I've come up with:

It depends on the person and their metabolism.

I've tried the lemon juice method five times now. Twice with lemon juice, twice with lime juice, and once using both. I've noticed that the experience does not last as long using these methods.

On the other hand, two other individuals have tried the lemon and/or lime juice method with me too. They were blown away, rolling on the floor, couldn't walk, etc.

Bottom line: Some individual's body metabolizes the chemical differently.

yah i tried around 3.3 or 3.5 ground in a copffee grinder snd had 2 shots withe a strong strong huge juicy homegrown lemon buy that was a crazy trip. walked to a construction site and played getting tripped out by the tractor tracks cus the moon was shining right and the tracks wer ealmost constant it was crazy then i went home and laid in bed going crazy for the rest of the trip..... a good kind of crazy not scared.

The lemon juice was amazing regarding the trip boost, but it did nothing for my nausea. But that's why there's weed.

i just wanna say that the Lemon Juice method is awesome.
i only used 1/2 g. of dessicated  Orissa India cubies.
powdered them in the espresso grinder into a fine dust.
put dust in a double shot glass,
squeezed one fresh lemon @ room temp,
poured fresh lemon juice into shot glass and stirred with a toothpick.
let it sit still @ room temp for about 35-40 minutes -> then slammed it.
WOW.
no Come On, no Come Down. straight Peak the whole time.
i like the fact that it hits you FAST & HARD. there is no time for pre-trip anxiety to build. no waves of nrevousness, shakiness or anxiety. within 15-20 minutes i was frying, already laughing my ass off in amazement. its also amazing to me that you can use SUCH a SMALL quantity of dry shrooms, compared to the normal dose if you just ate them.

I DO HAVE A QUESTION THOUGH...

- would it be possible to make individual doses (lemon shots), so each dose is measured equally, and THEN preserve/freeze it for later use???

i thought it would be cool to freeze doses/shots in small empty water bottles and then later use them to make lemonade with. ya know, just take out a bottle -already has a FROZEN lemon shot in it- then pour in a little water and sugar...

if someone could let me know on this, i would GREATLY appreciate it. feel free to PM.

i think it should work just fine. i am gonna try filtering the bits out and pressing the juice out and see how good the trip is with just the juice, if it isn't enough i can just put the reserved bits into lemon juice and down it real quick.
hmm i cant decide do i want to do a fast lemon trip or do i want to just ear 5 grams and have a long mind blowing trip. haven't tripped in fudge its been too long like 2 or 3 months getting close to 4 now
i better get my mush tomorrow or I'm gonna have to buy some amanitas from my local head shop and try those out.

Get the set right and if solo or not, make sure you KNOW you'll have no interruptions.
You'll be amazed.

not even the experienced would attempt this.... well erm... we may be persuaded just to see where we end up... im thinking 4 or 5 ppl. at night, in the woods....

will report on a group trip of this nature in a month or so...P.semilanceata (same doses without the lemon though!!)

Ok,
Have tried before with cranberry juice, read this thread and decided to do it 3 nights ago. Heres as comprehensive a write up as is within my literary capabilities.

Process:

1g of dried Cyanescens picked 5 blocks away from my house, ground in a standard coffe grinder to finer than espresso powder.

1oz of freshly squeezed organic limes, filtered 2 times to get pure juice without anything else. No big deal, just liked to be thorough.

Mixed together mushrooms and lime juice in yogurt cup with chopsticks and let sit for 15 minutes, timed with an eggtimer.

Threw back the head and put the cup bottoms up at 9:45 at night, rinsed cup with water and drank water.

Note that last meal was at 5:00 and I was fairly hungry at time.

Trip:

9:45-Consumed lime/mushroom shot

9:55-Definetely was in a different headspace, hung out with friend who took a mushroom shot with me, listened to some jazz, departd about 10:04

10:05- Walked about 4 blocks to a graveyard, where I sat for about 10 minutes and had some deep introspective thinking.

10:23-Came back to house, tried to hang out but friends started playing trip games with me, got the idea and went up to my room.

10:30-Got into room, started to have incredibly intense visuals in brightly lit environment.

10:37-Started having emotions brought up, turned out the lights and went under the blanket.

For the next 2 hours I had an incredibly intense psychedelic experience resulting in many personal revelations, ego-destruction, as is my normal wont on mushrooms, actually become empowering. Confronted conflict between desires and the logicc of getting desires, lots of internal contradictions I was unaware of were resolved, not a bad trip, but I was definetely crying like a baby the whole time. Can't seperate individual moments for the rest of trip, as I was under a blanket...crying.

12:54-Baseline, and confused as all hell, thought it was impossible that I was sober, went and talked to my friends, they couldn't believe I had become sober so fast, but it was quite apparent to them I was no longer tripping, no dialation of pupils when looked in mirror.

All in all I was incredibly impressed by the intense and short lived nature of the mushroom/acidic liquid experience. Thought on it, and probably has been thought of before, but cell walls being ripped apart by acid, hence faster digestion, perhaps even never gets into intestinal tract, again, this has probably been realized, but I was intrigued for quite some time.

Thnx for the great idea and I would highly recommend this method of consumption, as I myself am going to use this method every time I trip on mushrooms from now on.

Well its been 6 months since I made the first post about lemon. It sure seems to be coming right along like I expected. We now have hundreds of people with similar results. I know that it has become a favorite way for many people that I know to do their shrooms. Can't wait to see what it's like in another 6 months hehe. This is almost the most viewed post on the shroomery besides the faq's and the Great Mushroom Poll. I actually take a small bit of pride for sorta starting all this. It definitely seems to have opened a new door into the mushroom world. Keep up the experiment and for those of you who like the lemon, Your Welcome:)

I tried this again yesterday with not too spectacular results. Powdered 1.5 g of cubes with some store-bought lemon juice in those lemon-shaped containers, 3 friends with me did .5 g each. I got some nausea again, which happened last time with the lemon juice. I had a peanut butter, honey and banana sandwich a few hours before, an orange about half an hour before and some fruit juice to wash down the shot. I didn't really get any effects besides nausea until about an hour later, when we smoked a tiny joint and then waited in a bus stop. I could see the grass morphing and breathing a little and I had some nice CEVs and a mild euphoria came over me. This was about 90 minutes in and was definitely the peak. It dropped off pretty fast after that and I was pretty much back to baseline 3.5 hours later.

I've done this method twice and have been dissapointed. The first time was with 1 g, and I didn't feel anything except nausea until I ate 2 more grams later, and this time with 1.5 grams didn't feel like anything more than 1.5 grams. Next time I'll try a larger dose.

Since my last post, I have done the same amount of powdered shrooms (from the same batch) wihtout lemon juice, even eating a full meal before hand, and tripped WAY HEAVIER overall.

Lemon juice actually was a way milder experience than eating Popeye's fried chicken and Coke without lemon juice..


Never again will I have any citric acid of any kind before tripping, or while tripping.

The salespeople in Amsterdam I believe were right, Vitamin C takes the trip away rather than accentuating it.

My 2 cents.

someone should set up an actual poll, to see the exact percentages of people who this worked for, those it reduced the effect,and those who it diddnt work for, but did not have an effect on the trip.

I'd be surprised if it's the acidity of cranberry juice that is causing this effect. The gastric acid naturally occuring in your stomach is far stronger.

However, there is another likely explanation: Perhaps cranberry juice contains flavonoids like hesperidin or quercetin, which are known to affect the activity of digestive enzymes, especially cytochrome P450 enzymes. If this is the cause, then users should be very careful with grapefruit juice. It is a very powerful source of flavonoids - so powerful that it is contraindicated for many prescription drugs with a low therapeutic index. A small amount of grapefruit juice can dramatically alter the blood concentration of many types of drugs.

There is some evidence that cranberry juice also interacts with p450 enzymes. This may explain the effect reported.
