I have finally done it. I have created the closet of growth. I am growing three plants of the bagseed variety, all three are dirrerent kinds I am using 3 pairs of 40 watt flouresent light. One plant has decent buds, one got shocked for a week when transplanted and has alright buds, one has small buds becaue I overwatered it when adding more dirt and it got stunted. Smells like potent shit and will get chopped on the 20th of DEC. Right next to the three plants is a fruiting chamber with an ultrasonic humidifier that has just begun to pin and produce mushrooms. I'm so excited, weed and shrooms for Christmas!! The mushrooms just begun pinning last night and that's when I cranked the humidity up as far as it goes, when they pin this heavily they need lots of water to prevent aborting mushrooms. The plants make the Oxygen and the mushrooms make the Carbon Dioxide, I don't even open the closet which has no vents and seals well. The temps are between 80-85F and the humidity around 25-30% respectivly. I will post updated pictures of the "CLOSET OF GROWTH!" Come on Karma! Happy days to all.

It's a very nice setup for both and all but you ain't got any real symbiosis over there, they just share humidity and heat. Co2 is heavier than Oxigen, so i don't see how the weed benifits greatly from the mushrooms since bothh are at the same level and separate sections, the secret is placement, shrooms above weed, mushrooms bath the weed with the heavier Co2, weed gets stimulated with Co2 and release the lighter o2, o2 goes up and feed mushrooms and the cycle repeats it self. You just have to come up with some sort of structure that can do this, i have a few ideas i'll implement shortly, i'll let you know then.

Nice job... one recommendation though, go out and buy a high pressure sodium ballast and lamp for your weed... flourescent light works good enough to get the pot to grow, but your buds will usually be smaller and fluffier than they would if you used HPS lighting... metal halide works good to get the plants to grow larger, hps works good once they start budding. Check out www.overgrow.com sometime, its about like the shroomery of marijuana.

Overgrow tought me many lessons. my homegrow is more like the prime stuff you cant find anywhere. It's so great. ya, HPS puts out way more lumens than FLo's ever will. good work.

Your plants need some magnesium and leaching. The curling under is from magnesium(add epsom salt), and the burned tips are from salt build up(leaching rinses these salts out about 2gal water per 1gal soil). I cant have my wonderful plants anymore but what I would like to do is bush a plant out so it has a dark under canopy that is dense and will provide humidity. On top of the soil I would try casing and adding a layer of coco fiber for the top. You would want the mushies to fruit right during or before the plants go into the flowering stretch. Otherwise you will end up with bud rot from the humidity especially if you are using indica strains sativas are airy so water in the buds evaporates easier thus no bud rot. Although yours look like staiva indica hybrids so you should be fine as long as you cut the humidity 2-3 weeks before harvest.

Holly shit I didnt realise that you were using a flouresent. I have never seen a plant flower like that with just a flouresent but then I only used flouresents for clones cause they like low light levels. Get yourself a 1000 watt agrosun gold and you will never go back you should average about 1lb to 1.5 lb per 1000 watt. Also this will improve the quality of your herb greatly because thc is marijuanas response to ultra viloet light. The more ultra viloet the better especially UVB. Also grow organic its the only way to get the most tasty herb you ever had. CO2 enrichment helps more then you could ever believe. Now I wish I knew about mushrooms as much as I do now when I had herb cause then I would have those experiments down. Although the one reason I never tried was cause my friend told me CO2 kills mushies and my basement was always at least 2500 ppms and sometimes up to 6000 ppms cause I used propane to make CO2.

I think that this is a great idea while the smoke drifts
however when you stop and consider
optimal conditions for each
you will find that mota kept at such high humidity rates
might be mold prone if you go beyond one plant
Or mabye if you go for a bit more lumens from a HPS or MH light

afoaf did something similar, and since he was using a manure/straw tea fertilizer, he got 1 nice flush of cubies in his pots growing in little rings around the base of the stems.
