Around 10 or 11 pm a friend and I went picking in his girlfriends horse pasture and came up with these. Are they edible or active? This is a first time for me and though I have done a lot of research I am still a bit sketchy and could use an experts opinion more pics will be taken if needed or I go out and pick more

welcome to the forum.
you will definately need to do some prints and try to take some clear pictures of them. Do more research as well and you can rule out some things on your own. read the sticky for forum rules and guildlines. pay close attention to the details of you find. Remember to always assume that they are not edible or active until definitively proven otherwise.

Oh, good I thought those were subbs but I didn't want to rely on my judgment alone. And yes I know to consider all shrooms as deadly unless I am 100% positive of what they are

Couldn't have said it better myself. I often confused the edged border of pan camps when I first starting finding subbs. It's pretty easy once you know know.

All of those mushrooms are Panaeolus sbbalteatus, except the last two pics. those are Pan. campanulatus. Prints are crucial. subs will have a black print, foens. will have a brown print.

I found that actives only grow on horse dung and not cow dung due to the amount of hay in the horses diet where as cows graze on grass
