How to indicate the potency of shrooms?

Hi,

do you know how one could know if shrooms are dignified with a rather high content of psylocibin/psylocin(sp?)?
Perhaps the time they need to get blue after you cut them can be an indicator? Im looking for non high-tech methods, just to see if a strain is more potent than an other. And please dont say things like "eat em and look what happens", thank you.

The blueing effect (psilocybin oxidation) is a pretty good
indicator of psilocybin content. But not very acurate
either considering other influences such as brusing and
rate of dehydration,humidity...ect. Maybe you can purchase
a drug field test kit somewhere? But i doubt that any
method of potency detection would be cheap or easy.But i do

recall hearing that you can send samples to a certain
bio-chemisty lab to be anyalized for around $20.All
anonomously of course.Just run a search for it...who knows
what you'll find?

I don't know of any non high-tech ways of accuratly measuring potency. Blueing reaction time may be a good indicater to the amounts of psilocin (which may have more or less), but it doesn't do much for psilocybin comparison. The only method I adhere to is good ol' Bio-assay. But you didn't hear that from me.
