I notice that ALL of my negative ratings come from people who feel spiritually superior to me. Way too funny!

And how many negative ratings from the evil, cynical, world-hardened, grumpy old Swami? If you guessed zero, you win a prize.

What does this tell us about a person's exterior or image vs. a person's core?

all it said to me is that reading your post rubbed them the wrong way and they used the opportunity to vent.  who really knows at their core what is really bugging them?

somebody rating you negatively because they feel spiritually superior, however,  isn't ironic, regardless of whether or not true spirituality is based on being non-judgmental.  but, personally, i would venture it to be moronic :smile: 

now if somebody with an inferiority complex intended to rate you negatively because they felt spiritually superior, yet had unknowingly clicked the wrong button instead, rating their own self negatively, that would be pretty ironic :wink:

does a shroom rating really matter in any way....at all? I had like 2 1/2 for the longest time and people would respond and discuss with me as if I had the rating of Paradigm....

Ratings are just to make the dumbasses who buy into it think that they have some actual affect upon this website/world....

I post at a number of boards that have rating systems. I give out positive ratings for things I especially like... things that I either consider insightful, or just plain really funny. I never give out negative ratings. What's the point of ticking somebody off & creating an enemy? Isn't there enough meanness in the world already? I just don't feel I've got the time to be adding to that.

Yes. I can see how Trade Rating would be very important around here. I haven't been around this place long enough to feel comfortable about trading yet. However, when I do, I just happen to be growing a lot of San Pedro (trichocereus pachnoi) cactus. I even have some Bolivian trichcereus bridgesii...

Swami, lol  :grin: you don't rate anyone! I wish I had done the same. It's an unhealthy practice I feel now and the shroomery could do without it. No other forum I belong to uses one.

Really I applaud your decision not to rate here. :thumbup: although I do think the seller rating is a good practice.  :heart:

I don't rate much, but personaly I would never rate anyone with less than 5. If I thought he deserves less than five, I'd just leave it unrated because I don't want to spoile someones ratings (if they mean something to him) with my subjective judgement
