uh oh! Help! I hope this isn't what I think it is... *UPDATED!!!

Hey everyone! Today I went to dunk some PF cakes (all not done yet) and these have been ready for a while. So I went to pop the top off and I look and I see white on top of the dry verm layer. And I see some nice thick white on top, which looked like myc. Is this cobweb or not? Has any of you pro's gotton anything like that. I smelled each cake, all smelled fine, smelt like myc. I have a picture kind of crappy due to my camera batters were dead. So I had to use my web cam. You can kind of see it though. Strain is B+.



EDIT:

Well this time I really didn't have thing weird except 2 (and I still have 1 left that's not colonizing right). So I took some pics.. let me know what you think...

This one didn't smell at all... it was only on top of the verm.



This I think was myc.. I had to tear it off it wasn't really on there good.




I think I'm in good shape to keep going with the grow...

yah it is very hard to tell with the low quality picture. But as you said....it does resemble cobbZ.

I don't have a better pic, there already dunking... damn... well we'll find out later...

Actully, I only did some of my cakes! More will be ready tomorrow! So I'll try to get the camera charged.

Ok well, from what I can see in the picture it looks like mycelium to me.  Cobweb most likely wouldn't show up in a picture that dark; it's very light and whispy compared to mycelium.  I'm going to say you're fine based off what I can see.

im a newb but ive noticed it on several of my cakes when i opened the jars. if u ask me ild say ur ok. when i see that i dont get nervous. sometimes the myc reaches up and develops chanels in the verm layer up top. maybe some moisture got in the verm layer when u steemed it. who knows but i wouldnt worry about it if i were u. but again im just a newb...scat and diver are the pros.
