Anyone here feel good about the idea of dying, and see benifit in it?
Any other thoughts about the big D?

My mom died recently. I felt no remorse or loss. It seemed kind of unimportant. I surprised myself.

When my grandmother died(whom I loved) I felt less sorrow than I felt I should have. Maybe this is because she wasnt herself for the last few years, and I felt she died long before her body... Or maybe it is because I've learned to block sorrow out, I do get sad when I think about her now.

I think death is a good compromise after 80 years of life. Immortality would be good, but only if I could regenerate from injuries

Wrong again, already happened this morning. How about something worthwhile. I think you can't handle the topic in a serious fashion. So you make trite little jokes. Death really scares most folks to death. (pun)

Death is the best gift any human could be given.
Imagine a universe where you did not die. You lived forever, whether you were being burned alive, whether you had all your limbs amptutated, whether you became a vegetable, you existed for infinity. You never died, so you lived longer than the universe itself, and continued on in the worst of all possible tortures.
Death is the benefit of change, an ending to suffering and a recycling of your resources back to the universe.
-------------------- So long as you are praised think only that you are not yet on your own path but on that of another.

Well, I had some beef ribs the other day, some KFC yesterday...
I guess I'm saying that death has the possibility of tasting good.

Why are you in this S&P? I think death is a very interesting subject talk about. What are the pros and cons if we could all live for ever and could not reproduce? If our bodies were nothing more than vehicles that we could fully repair whenever, and there was no over population issues in the world... How would this affect the way of thinking and our morals and beliefs....
