STRAW OR HAY - the differance

STRAW = the stalk or stem of certain species of grain, especially of wheat, rye, oats, barley after the nutrient grain or seed has been removed.

HAY = grasses of various types which are cut, field dried, baled or bundled and fed to animals as fodder.

And even though I'm SURE it doesnt need to be mentioned... you DONT WANT HAY. You want straw.

I tried using some grass clippings (hay) from my front yard once with pretty weak results. :thumbdown:
