does bluing always mean Psilocybin???

i ate some mushies last night that weighed up to about 10 grams wet weight, i didnt trip at all! wtf is up with that, i kno the nutes were there, brf cakes, and they blued up a looooot when i plucked em. i used the dosage calculator here on the shroomery and it said for a level 2 trip to take 9.77 grams wet which is basically wut i did. so my question its, WHY NO TRIP!!!??? i feel like i wasted my mushies  :frown: :frown: :confused: :confused:...

10 grams wet does not equal 1.0 gram dry. It could have easily been less then half of a gram dried, maybe even less than that. To dose wet you really need to load up in the 30 gram range.

Bluing is just psilocybin oxidation, it's not a potency indicator.

generaly a normal dose is about 3.5 grams dry or 35 grams wet, dont feel it was a
waste because you've learned something important, dosage varries a little
from person to person and aparently a level 2 is a very mild sensation, I never
went by levels of trips and crap like that.

no trip because not enough mushies. 10g wet is about 1g dry. I don't know if anyone can trip on that little amount.

Not necessarily. Like Diver said, it's not always accurate to dose with wet mushies. Even if you did take the equivalent of 1g dry, I still wouldn't say that's enough. I personally don't think anything less than 2g dry is sufficient.

i take an antipsychotic, its supposed to be for bipolar depression, why wut does it mean if one takes anti deps cuz a friend takes anti depressants and he wants to do mushies

on erowid they have an article about effects of psilocybin with MAOI'S and SSRI's, the scientific research isn't 100% but they say that MAOI's can increase the experience but SSRI's can counter and and can just be dangerous, causing possible seizures and convulsions.
MAOI and SSRI and found in different kinds of antidepressents, you may want to look into that.

If your growing potent shrooms, 1 gram should bring you to a level 1 trip...but you may have eaten much less then that since you dont know how much water was in them.

yea i dont take an SSRI or an MAOI it was prolly cuz of the small dosage im jus so ddisappointed that i didnt get to triip and even tho p#1 said iit was a learning experience i still feel like it was waste

ive heard of shrooms not haveing that bluing effect and that they were not good they didnt trip so i would say the bluing is a good sign

An aquintance just harvested a cake, 80 grams wet. Good job actually.
But turned out to be 5 grams dry!

So dosage is a thing.

Your mindset is another, especially when taking small dosage you must be very aware/sharp to notice it. And some people just *refuse* to trip.

Something inside them refuses to be taken by the hand of the mushroom. While other people from teh same batch have a decent trip.
