bluing question

does bluing have any direct connection with potency? i had some casing that were about played out and i noticed that i couldn't get them to blue.

I've never noticed a connection between bluing and potency. Of course, nothing is sexier then a fast, heavy bluing shroom when handled or cut at the stem. Having some non-bluers that knocked my socks off at 2 grams, and having some very heavy bluers that didn't impress anyone at 3 grams, I don't see a correlation.
