I wish I could feel people in general.

1. "After an hour I wasn't feeling anything so I decided to take another..."
2. "We were feeling pretty good so we decided to smoke a few bowls..."
3. "I had to be real quiet because my parents were asleep upstairs..."

I can feel Swamis self-centered-ness when he mentions the "swami-ban-issue" in a thread that has nothing to do with that what so ever - its just obvious.

Nice way to miss the point on a v-e-r-y relevant post. Some shroomerites got a negative "vibe" about me and other shroomerites got a positive "vibe" about me. What does this tell us about remote sensing ability and internal projection?

Some shroomerites like a certain way of trolling and other shroomerites dont like it - thats a question of style, but what has this to do with sensing the vibes?

It tells me that people twist their projections around to match their morals. It also tells me that I should try to use the word 'me' less, because apparantly it looks arrogant. :p

Yes, I should talk about myself in the third person and substitute "the Swamster" for "me". That sounds better.

That is because a Master has no reflection. He is ephemeral and yet solid; both devil and saint, but transcends good and evil. He has no hook where upon you can set your expectations or imaginings. Might as well try to grasp the wind.

now that I really think about it (with my eyebrows),
the proper term would be to sense other posters since I think that is where this is going and
since
there are only 3 feelings "pain" "pleasure" and "neutral"

so can we sense other posters or is it really a shot of pleasure or pain that is being referred too.
that is
unless the common colloquial term to "feel her up" is actually intended, and would that also apply to swami?
(yeucch - no offence)

I don't "feel" any posters..

..but on the opposite sometimes i think I feel what the poster is feeling. does that count?

Herein lies the classic error of seeing people as a fixed thing rather than a process. Even pretending that one could "get another person right", that judgement only holds for a moment and is discontinuous from the next moment.

personally, i don't think you can ever completely know another person just by your communications with them. if you get to know a person pretty well, then you might be able to predict their personality with some degree of accuracy, but it would never be perfect. i don't even know myself perfectly, an i'd wager that the rest of the people here at shroomery aren't totally fimiliar with themselves yet. notice all of the bold words are absolutes; i'm not saying that you can't know yourself or another person intimately, but no one can ever really know a person completely anymore than you can understand life completely.

that's the problem with judging people; when you say to a person, "You are ________ " the "are" in that statement is infinitive, meaning past- present- and future. You're not giving that person a chance to change; it's discouraging and therefore it is negative (unless of course you're complimenting them, which is encouraging to most people). on the other hand, i think judging others is a necessary instinct because you use it to discern people and situations and adapt socially; the important thing is that you make your judgements elastic- flexible, because people and situations are constantly in a state of change.

but what do i know, i'm just the pupil

One must look past the "ARE", and see the "IS"....

Sometimes one IS in a playful mood, sometimes one IS not....
Sometimes one IS in a creatively sharing expressive mood, sometimes one IS not....
Sometimes one comes for entertainment, sometimes one IS the entertainment....

Sometimes one IS, sometimes one IS not....

I see the colors of people's words as a whole within each single post, but they IS not the same from one topic to the other....
You start to get a picture after a lil while with the colors one paints....

Some I see control, some I see passion....
Some I see pain, some I see love....
Some I see anger, some I see fun....
Some I see indifference, some I see understanding....

Within ALL, I see LIFE....

ME....

this conversationl falls into group consiosness logorithm, separate yet part of the whole  :mushroom2:

i have been able to do this for a number of years, its a neat little talent
