YES! music is so beautiful! I get so involved in it when I listen to it. Now that I think about it, I'ma put on some Dandy Warhols, some music that i love :-)

music is fantastic, so many people dont make time to just listen to music, without doing any other activity and it's a massive shame, listening to music is a meditation in itself i believe, it's calming, relaxing or provocative and fascinating, it's a journey. Music is one of life's greatest gifts, i have unquantifiable amounts of respect for those that can create music.

Yeah, there definitely are. All depends where you are, mate. You could try going to your local Buddhist gathering, they'd probably let you join in whether you're a Buddhist or not.

There have been a few moments in my life when a song made me feel completely joyous, doesn't happen much anymore unless I'm on shrooms or weed. The songs that did it to me while sober (a long time ago) were:
Barenaked Ladies 'One Week'
Jimmy's Chicken Shack 'Do Right'
Lit 'My Own Worst Enemy'
Dum Dums 'Everything'
Everclear 'Overwhelming'
Three of those bands I don't even listen to at all anymore. It's weird.
This thread has made me feel pretty good actually, shows how good vibes rub off. So where should we start our commune :P?

Hero, the snow also gives me a sense of well being, i thought i was the only one. To me drinking some hot cocoa, playing some good music and looking out the window while its snowing feels like shooting up heroin, (just asuming) And then smoking a little bud amongs some good friends is a great experience.  Awwhhh i can feel it now, Thanx root-ninja-tak bringing up these thoughts brings those good memories back, great thread.

Just to see that other people apreaciate the good in life, especially  in these times, makes me feel so good. I always thought it was a god damn shame people see life as , work, war, pain, money and television. To me heaven is the ability of humanity to reach world peace, come together and solve world hunger and diseases, and once all of that is solve explore space together, as a planet, not a rat race between U.S. and Russia like in the 60's. If when we die our energy and concouness is allowed to create its own reality, anyone wanna come to mine? Theres gonna be lots of Marijuana.... :spliff:

I feel great. I'm actually getting by shit together (school, job, relationships, etc) and I'm DOING creative work - real work, not job/school/etc. and I've been reading some good books/ poetry by this amazing girl who I'm so in love with but who I'll never be with for numerous reasons... but yeah, I'm full of energy, I'm in the best physical shape since before I started using drugs when I was a competitive swimmer (I run now, same difference) and..... I just snorted a line of pure mdma! so yeah, I'm off to get some bacon from my mom then off to philosophy class, and I feel great!

Malachi, philosophy on mdma? Fantastic!, I'm just smoking some bud right now and thinking about old trips, this thread has made me feel fantastically happy, just reading the posts since my last one  I've changed so much since that first trip, all for the better, i was never interested in actually bettering myself before i started tripping and saw the way that things should be.

Isn't it great, that feeling you get when you're coming up on a group trip, and everyone's competing to tell each other how happy they are? like little bubbles of happiness

Are you a Bill Hicks fan, by any chance?  I totally agree with you right now, but I'm known to vacillate from idealism to bitter cynicism on a regular basis.
We should all just get a farm somewhere, be totally self-sustainable.  Grow weed and mushrooms.  During the daytime all have different jobs to keep the whole place going.  Listen to great music in the evenings and dance around a bonfire.  Perhaps inspire other people to do the same .  Sounds like a good idea to me anyway...

I absolutely know the kind of utter joy you're talking about. In the last two months so much has happened that totally shook my world view.

I'm finally getting my shit together, figured out I wanna be a teacher and see the balance in all things and totality behind the particular. Grrrrrreat feeling, and I don't think it'll go away soon.

Not trying to sound overly corny, but:

Peace & Love to you and yours!

Blessins.

Wake up the dying
Don't wake up the dead
Change what you're saying
Don't change what you said
Now that it's time that
I got out of bed

When I walk myself
Down Sycamore Street
The sun beats down
No shoes on my feet
And I stumble on
A daisy through concrete

Eels - A Daisy Through Concrete. Don't ask me why I posted this here, it just seemed relevant in some way.
