Last night I took 3.8 grams of dried cubensis with a friend. He tripped pretty hard (was unable to communicate for about 45 minutes during his peak) but I wasn't tripping all that hard. I got some moving patterns overlaying everything and some inanimate objects bent just a little bit, but I was somewhat disappointed, especially in the company of my friend who was happily tripping his balls off.
The shrooms are mexi-cubs from T.H.E. that I grew myself using rice/verm pf cakes sliced up and cased with coco fiber. I fan dried them on a table for 2 days then put them in a makeshift dessicant chamber before putting them in my refridgerator. Since the first time I tried them, I have been working my dosage up slowly. Reading some trip reports, and according to the dosage calculator, it seems like I ought to have been tripping much harder.
Anyways, it seems like people seem to agree that the extreme yet short-term tolerance built up after tripping is gone after about a week. I had tripped 9 days before this time.
Also relevant is that I take the antidepressant Wellbutrin.
Does anyone have any experience with Wellbutrin effecting the intensity of the trip? Is 9 days too short an interval and I still had some residual tolerance? Am I just one of the unlucky ones who happens to have a naturally high tolerance? Combination of all three?
I'd appreciate any advice that anyone reading this can offer.
Thanks

basically, how things are with most drugs, is people can have the visuals you were having off 3.8 grams, off like half a gram if they are very special and extremely sensitive to pscilocybyn, but unfourtunately the oppossite can also happen. what i say is, keep slowly upping your dosage about every two weeks until you are satisfied, im not sure if 9 days is enough, you may have some tolerance still built up. But hey what the hell do i know, i just read the shit. Im sorry i know nothing about anti-depressants, except that certain ones can boost trips, but this doesnt seem to be the case.
Shit dont happen till you step in it.

In my experience, tolerance develops slowly. For example, my roomate and I tripped 3 times with 1 week between each episode before we started to realize a loss of the "wow" factor. In the end, we settled on 14 days between trips, which worked out to about zero tolerance.
On the other hand, your body may work completely different from mine, and 9 days may not be enough for you. MJShroomer (mushroom John, one of the premier shroomy guys) told me 12-14 days worked well for him.
Experience plays a big factor in my opinion, just like smoking bud. I may be as high as the dude next to me, but I keep my mind somewhat focused through the smog of being stoned so I can still do things like drive and buy munchies...whereas he can't even sit up...all becuase I'm familiar with the effects. To fix this, try tripping in an unfamiliar location, like the outdoors or something along those lines.
I doubt you had significant tolerance, it's a good possiblity your body is just less sensitive to psilocybin and you need to take a higher quantity of dried material...which is fine if you grow your own
