-Minor Threat
-Bad Brains

I could go on and on, but these are the top ten most influential.

Awe, come on man. Like he said, he's just a puppy... Give him time and in a few years he will have added Linkin Park and Smashmouth to the list!..... Wait, I just got back from puking after writing those band names. To each their own......BrAiN, I like some of the bands you listed too..... Along with maybe one of Yellowcard's. I guess I'm a homo too........I used to like Queensryche!!!!!!!!!!

hmmm i guess i could just list cd's i remember having in my 5 disk cd changer in my car when i was a senior in high school.

primus - suck on this (saw band live)
red hot chili peppers - blood sugar sex magic (saw band live)
pearl jam - ten (saw band live)
nervana - nevermind
NIN - the downward spiral (saw band live)

/me changes out 5 disk tray to find:

megadeath - countdown to extinction (saw band live)
metallica - "black album" (saw band live)
pink floyd - DSotM (saw band live)
Led Zeplin - house of the holy [could be any of them, really]
stevie ray vaughn - texas flood [could be any of these too]

but hey, all that stuff was on the radio then. after that, i went to college and found acid (i was flowing like water in the early to mid 90's). then i started listening to bjork, brian eno, philip glass, jah wobble, radiohead, and really got deep into bebop jazz. then, like everyone else, i got into more electronica when exstacy hit the scene. stuff like rabbit in the moon, chemical brothers, portishead, prodigy (jilted generation), massive attack, tricky, etc.
