The downside of Oneness

Here`s what I experienced the last time I?ve tripped ( I try to keep it as short as possible ):
I was in a state I?d describe as ego confusion - losing the ego / literally not knowing who you are / seeing yourself as different persons. And all of that changed rapidly, so it actually was interesting, but exhausting as well.
However when the experience kind of slowed down, suddenly I had to think about people whose behaviour irritated me lately and then...I felt like that very person.
It was not only understanding where they?re coming from, but I really felt no difference between me and that person.
To give an example: I met a real estate agent the day before who was very business minded, he kept checking his watch and acted very slick, reminded me of Gordon Gecko in the movie Wall Street.
To be honest I didn`t like him much.
Now imagine my surprise when I actually `became` him - there was no more judging, because that wouldn?t have made much sense.
Any concepts of good and bad or desirable behaviour just went overboard.
Actually I sat there weeping and repeating the sentence `I am all of that` over and over again.
It was kinda hard to finally acknowledge to myself that I AM everything, I?m not a bit better or wiser than the next man, it?s just a different kind of acting out what we all share.

So you could say this was a humbling experience, an eye opener that at first didn`t feel good at all but rather shocking.
But the moment I finally understood with body and soul that I AM ALL OF THAT it was absolute bliss.
It felt like melting :sun:

This got longer than I intended, so I leave it at this.
One more thing:  :thumbup: to the shroom teachers !

Whats humbling, I think, is looking at the whole of humanity with a --glass is half empty attitude and realizing that you are part of that emptiness, and how far away you are from wholeness. Humility can decay into discouragement if you don't also look at the glass as 'half full' and work to bridge the gap in a 'proactive' way (to use a cheesy term).

Sounds like you definetly lost your ego. Knowing that you can do the things just like any other man is a very powerful thought. Knowing. Percieving. Being.

Really, it's a matter of perception and furthermore, internal processing of one's perception. Optimism and pessimism are self-determined filters to reality, and it is literally as easy as 'making yourself happy' :cool:

more on-topic, yes mushrooms are amazing teachers. This lesson you learned is a common lesson it seems that the fungus teaches, the connection between everything into onething, the complete single mind from which we subjectively fragment off of and interact amongst. A hard part about certain lessons is retaining the wisdom after the effects wear off, but it sounds like you've managed :smile: That, imo, is the single most important, often overlooked quality of psychedellics, retaining the wisdom.

Anyways, sounds like fun indeed :cool:
