Fast growth in my cakes?
    #3517343 - 12/18/04 02:28 PM (19 years, 3 months ago)

Hey folks,

Just wanted to let you know that, in contrarry of my first batch, my cakes are growing very fast.
They are almost 9 days now and almost fully colonized. Only some very few spots left and large part of the bottom!

Guess they will be ready to fruit at 2 weeks!

Reasons this is going much better? I think because;
- An agressive GT strain (IMHO, first GT strain ever tried)
- Good "airy" cakemix (first batch I used 3,5-1-1)
- Nice temps (84-87)
- I shook my thing! (the syringe)

ehmm. AIR!
And 2-1-1 being: VERM-BRF-WATER: 120CC verm, 60CC BRF, 60CC water.

Well mixed and much AIR, dont pack the cakemix. I just put it in there with a fork and leave it as it falls covering holes but do not push it!

I dont know that Shroom, I guess something like 3 grams. An accurate weightscale (?) (dont know the word in english) is again 50$.

I am curious though......

Hey I just saw that cake, good job! :shroomer:
unfortunately my squirrel hasn't had luck.
he quit growing abruptly several months ago and thankfully had some prints saved because he burned everything else. so he started a couple culture jars with one of the prints, and the first four grain jars contammed really bad with the green stuff. Hopefully, he'll have better luck. he's low on prints.
talk to ya later

- cobweb
- wetspot (yuk)
- bad syringe (2 x)
- bad cake mix (but after 6 weeks yihaa fruiting  )
- bad patience

Good luck NOS!
