Rhizomorphic growth??

Could somebody tell me what rhizomorphic growth looks like..I think I was mistaking it for cobweb mold because of my extreme paranoia for contams. I have these little totally white growths that extent maybe a few centimeters from the cake...hell maybe just 1 centimeter...they're pretty short...there are a bunch of them in certain places of the cakes.

rhizomorphic literally means "root shaped"
Here's a pic of some nice rhizomorphs growing over some dung.
