Kratom and Schizophrenics

Hi all

No I dont have Schizophrenia, but my mate does. He wants to know if Kratom will affect him. He can takes E's no prob. This Kratom is very new to us both. I know he shouldnt do anything But im not his mother I can only guide and be of assistance. he's not a chronic Schizophrenic, but I couldn't image how being even slighty couldnt be chronic.

Complex mental/psychological effects from Kratom are minimal...maybe a general "opening up" will happen because of relaxation and loss of inhibitions...if he thinks that is dangerous to his mental state he should avoid kratom I guess.

I would say the risk of psychological problems arising from kratom use is less than with use of alcohol or marijuana. Far less than with marijuana....

yah i dont think it would interfere that much at all... unless he became addicted to it, then stopped using it. then it might make the schizo worse.

but its not at all psychedlic so he wont freak out or anything!
