odd smell, but looks fine??? 2pics

ok just got home and picked these, :cool:

they smell a bit off, just a tiny bit acrid, not really amonia smelling, :frown: :confused: but they look fine, so is this normal?? are they safe???
can aborts, if not picked, get a funny smell??
or should i feed them to my neighbors dogs( kidding).
anyway they are some nice lookin shrooms.

perlite smells super funky when wet its almost sickening but yeah your mushrooms look fine nice work happy shrooming

I can tell you from looking at the pictures the species is Psilocybe Cubensis.

ding, ding, ding, we have a winner.!

but more importantly what about the slightly off smell, not too strong, really had to have ones nose up to the mushies to smell the funny smell, can i eat them, or are they fit only fer the dogs???  do all shrooms smell the same? i think all the other ones ive cultivated have smelled normal, like white mushrooms from the mercado. these smell like those but just a little bitter on top of that. describing smell is impossible.

They should be ok..they'll smell rotten and sour if they are bad and will usually be soft and mushie and black and probably slimey.

no they just smell a little bit sour, and they look healthy as can be, maybe a few aborts just started smellin up the rest of the good ones?? im sure ive eaten worse stuff. :smirk:

Who knows..I get odd smells from everything all the time -shrug-

I didnt even look at the pics though..just the last post..I just looked at the pics and they are definatly beautiful..
