 **URGENT** Alcoholic smell coming from jar?

Hey all,
Today i birthed 4 of my jars into the fridge for dunking/cold shocking. All the jars looked perfectly fine and clean. When i opened one of the jars a strange alcoholic/mushroom smell came from it. I did not intentionally smell it but the smell hit me from about a 1 foot away. It has **no** sighn of contamination at all except for this odd smell.
Does anyone know what this is? Bacteria?

This is only urgent because it is still sitting in my fridge in a 1 pint jar in a zip-lock bag so if it is bacteria i want to throw it out ASAP!

The other jars had a very distinct mushroom smell, just like my friends contam-free cakes. This one cake smelled like sour alcohol, the sourness was very light but was noticable.
Any other thoughts?

This happens quite often to me as well.....and everything is always OK.
My guess is because I use alcohol to clean EVERYTHING and I wipe the needle after every innoculation point.

It smells like odd sourish alcohol....to throw away or not to throw away that is the question!

I've read that mycelium sometimes tends to create it's own form of alcohol. Needs certain parameters to do so. It's been a long time since I read it though, but it's true.

If its bacterial i thought it is unnoticable to the eye. If i cut it in half and see nothing can i just fruit the 2 halfs seperatly?
