ok 14 weeks is longer than i would think the mycellium can survive off of what nutrients are available but i guess if it doesnt fruit it may not metabolize very much...

my first batch of jars i ever did colonized at very fluctuating temperatures, from like 60-90 degress under my friends porch outdoors lol. after about a month and a half i had like dime to quarter sized mycellium spots at the innoc points. after 2 months they didnt get any bigger so i actually tried to take just the small chunks out it and spawn some straw and case it. allw as going good and i saw 'mycellium' poking through the straigh verm layer so i kept misting and lighting it. but no pins!!! after about 2 weeks of nothing i finally figured out that i had grown a batch of cobweb mold and smalled nasty.

point of teh matter is after 8 weeks the mycellium was still alive, white and resilliant, it just could not spread out and thrive like it wants to. had i actually sterilized umm... anything in the casing  :rolleyes: i bet it would have grown. point is that the temperature is a big factor and ive seen people constantly take 6-8weeks to colonize jars just sitting on their shelf in their room. if you PC properly EVERYTHING is killed and using (what i used to use) micron-magick filter disks MMFD they were called, along with 4-punched lids its almost impossible to contaminate after injecting spores. the mycellium will not die that is how some strains stay alive under winter freezing and tundra. how many know that there is a mycellia complex under teh ground RIGHT NOW that is by FAR the largest living creature on the planet?? yes bigger than a blue whale. it stays alive and thrives when it can, if you have too cold temperatures the hyphae will just cling together and comfort each other by keeping warm and not being able to spread out but it will stay alive until food or water supplies are gone, or temperature gets very very extreme. like from a heating pad.

what happened to your babies was they got 3rd degree burned like your skin does. the molecules of the meat of the composure broke down and since they were about 85-90%water in the first place, it turned into an oozing substnce because it has no structure and a lot of fluid. unless it got over i think about 120*F then the psilocybin adn psilocin are still active. i still would not try to trip off of that no way. iwouldnt even try to extract it to pure even if there was some left.

you need to incubate your jars better, turn it up to 83-84 degrees somehow, make a new batch and follow the 2:1:1 verm:flour:water ratio. sterilize properly and you will be a lot happier than having diahrrea and an out of body experience all at the same time lol!!!! :nut:
