I don't seem to get hangovers...

No matter how much I drink, the next morning I'm fine.

Last night I drank half of a 750 mL bottle of Bacardi, and I couldn't walk right at all and I was generally kinda wasted. But today I felt fine, and first thing in the morning I even was working out.

Why is this?

Be GR8ful mang, i don't get hangovers either. In fact i only drink beer to sleep at night and wake up in the morning(5 to 6 am) all bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready for another day of total physical activity, and i'm 50 years young for fuck's sake :grin:

Man, I'm envious. I usually always get hangovers. And if I get really really really wasted, not only will I get a hangover, but I usually get a cold to go with it. This has happened the last 2 times I got really wasted. That's why I'm more of a smoker and a tripper than a drinker.

Funny you say that, I used to never get hangovers....but then again i used to be drunk everyday for a couple years. Now i usually just drink on saturdays and i get some hella hangovers. I'm just now feeling better from last night.

That simply is not true. I do not get hangovers and I only drink from once a week or so (actually lately not at all). I have not done any illicit drugs in 8 months or so and I am sober almost all the time. I can drink well over a liter of liquor and feel no hangover even after just 6 hours of sleep.

my rule for hangovers is simple. If I fall asleep while drunk, I'll be hungover the next morning. If I sober up first, I'll be fine.
btw, a hit or 2 of bud will take care of that pesky hangover right away. :thumbup:

I usually get hangovers if I have too much sugar (most mixed drinks). Water always helps but I still feel down for a day after I drink.

Then the real question should be what is a hang over??

I have a very hard time believing people get zero hangover.

Not getting a hangover is not necessarily a good thing. I think I would be a raging alcoholic if I didn't get such unholy hangovers. I may only get drunk once or twice a year, but DAMN do I ever pay the price. Sometimes my hangovers last up to 3 days.

Hangovers are our body telling us we did something really stupid.

Yes when I was in my teens and early 20's I said the same shit. about weak hangovers. But I still had them. Stinking breath, stinking sweat and generaly feeling tired in the morning. These are signs of a hangover.

Now I think what they are talking about is waking up with a headache and puking and feeling like death.

That is recovering from alcohol poisioning

I think you're normal, or above normal and lucky :wink: I used to be able to drink and not get drunk. It really sucked, because the first time I was drunk it was really really bad. Now I usually don't get hangovers, or I wake up feeling terrible and still a little drunk.

im surprised that Freakq and z@z dont get them cos the usual trend ive found is that people often don't get them when theyre younger, then after a certain point they suddenly get them all the time. thats exactly the way it was for me (and yes fucknuckle, they really werent hangovers at all). now if i dont sober up first or make a concerted effort to drink water for a while, there's a pretty good chance i'll wake up with a headache and general shitty feeling. also, the darker the drink, the more likely you are to get a hangover.

I heard once that hangovers are withdrawal symptoms from alcohol. In other words, if you get a hangover, you are physically addicted to alcohol. This is why some people drink to cure hangovers.

you will get hangovers eventually, especially if you drink as frequently as i do. maybe you drink water before you go to bed? alcohol dehydrates and before i go to sleep (pass out) i drink a ton of water(if i haven't already passed out and forgotten).

I hope you are being sarcastic here...because I think that is absolute crap! I never used to get hangovers in my teens, no matter how much I had to drink. One day I awoke with one as I began to get older...but normally...I always woke surprisingly early and feeling refreshed. I also do not like alcohol that much and only get drunk no more than 5 times per year...if that. In my opinion, hangovers are a result of:

1. Too much alcohol
2. Dehydration
3. Going to sleep while heavily intoxicated

If you don't want a hangover, don't drink too much....drink non-alcoholic beverages between drinks and before you go to sleep...and try not to go to sleep too drunk. I think that seems to work everytime here...but that is only me and everyone is different
