...I was wondering if you could take dried san pedro and grind it in a coffee grinder, then boil it for a couple hours over low heat. Then after it's done boiling drink everything so you don't have to strain it.  Would this be a good idea?... Also does anyone has some pictures of dried cacti about 30-50g...

If it's already dry, I'm not sure what good boiling it would do if you're going to drink the solid matter anyway. I haven't tried, but yet... I figure if you're going to boil it, it's to get the good stuff into the liquid, thus making the solid (part that will increase your likelyness of gagging quite a bit) not needed. If you plan to drink that matter anyway, why not just blend it with water and drink? or, pill it up, etc.

or maybe I dont know what you mean.

San Pedro is the most vile substance to attempt to consume, having said that the experience is worth it. Straining is best, you can repeat a few times to make sure you get it all, and then simmer the liquid down to reduce the volume. Using a poly/cotton blended dress shirt works amazing to squeeze the pulp through. If you want to consume the cactus matter itself either capsule it or parachute it down. If you try to leave the material in a liquid it is very doubtful you will be physically able to consume it. The consistancy will be "chunky snot tea". :puke:

If you have dried peruvian torch or san pedro then your best bet is to soak it(2 or 3 times) in alcohol (grain alcohol or strong vodka, etc.) to do a simple extraction. Filter off the alcohol and evaporate it to leave behind the mescaline in a tar-like sludge. A teaspoon or so is a good dose. It's nasty as hell but it works great and the taste can be washed away easily with water.

This is the best way that I've found (short of a full extraction) to minimize the amount of disgusting taste that I have to endure.

The diference in using alcohol and water is that the cactus powder will not swell up when using alcohol as it does with water.

I've used this method many many times with great success.

According to Shulgin, even pure Mescaline hcl. can cause stomach problems and vomiting. Your best bet to avoid stomach issues is to consume on a mostly empty stomach and stagger your dose over about 30 minutes so your body can adjust a little slower.

Enought to make sure that the cactus powder is saturated and that it can be poured easily. I generally use  about(I never measure any of this) twice the volume of alcohol to cactus.

Never. I've done this many times and I have a friend that partakes with me most of the time. Neither of us have ever had any nausia. Just waves of euphoria. :wink:

The only thing close to feeling sick is that first initial gag at the taste of the goo. I don't think that I'll ever become immune to that.
