Thinking Outside the Box

Let's say I return to school Monday morning, and one of my classmates asks me what I did over the weekend. He would expect me to say that I went to the movies or went to a party. But if I told him that I meditated or just sat around thinking all weekend, he would think I was weird, probably in a bad way. I did something out of the ordinary, and I'm looked down upon for it. Why is doing something out of the ordinary bad? The biggest changes in history happened when people thought outside of the box.

This once again just goes to show that people don't learn from history.

Nevertheless, it's just pack instinct that gets a hold of people in a situation like that one.

Who couldn't change history by meditating?

They always give you that weird look and then you sorta get that akward feeling, that you decide to do things a little differently. Meditate till your stoned in place.

It would be one thing if thats all you did, but then again, you probably wouldnt know the guy if that was all you did.

Hell i like to party, but sometimes i just dont feel like it... There are times for solitude and time for social interaction ( imo ) . dont get yourself mixed up worrying about that sort of thing, its not really worth it :wink: .

If somebody looks at you funny or judges you for doing somethin that's beneficial to you, who cares if he thinks you're weird or looks down on you, he's a dipshit.

We set up our own boxes, usually patterned after the boxes that those we are familiar with have fashioned for themselves. Boxes are often functional and cozy, shielding us from that which would make us uncomfortable, such as the howling winds of doubt and the chilling rains of uncertainty. They also block out views so we are not bothered with having to familiarize ourselves with deviations in the vistas outside that may arise with time. Many boxes are filled with shredded newspapers which some read in an attempt to re-assemble the truth, others just defecate on the clues that have been given them, but the truth is not just in the boxes under piles of shit, but outside as well.
