Coffee Grinding shrooms

When ran through a coffee grinder, none is lost inside the grinder during the process?

Also, for a dose, would you just take 1g of the powder and it would be equivelant to 1g of mushrooms, right? The dosage is the same, right? 2g powder = 2g whole...?

I had some dried out shrooms like chip's put them trough the grinder and chomped down on like 4 or 5 grams(p.cubensis) very nice job it did! dried powder is the same as dried whole,but I like eating them fresh they are always more potent that way.

When you grind them you do get some loss, but it is tiny. Some parts of the mushroom will instantly be ground up to dust light enough to float so when you open the grinder up, out it goes, plus you will have to be very meticulous to get every bit out of there.

If you are going to dry them, go the extra bit and put them in gelcaps, you won't be sorry. Easiest dose you will ever have.

so the gelcaps can be ordered where online?

also, how long do they keep for? can you just pop the gels in a ziplock and leave it in the freezer? fridge? shoebox in a closet?

about how many standard sized capsules would you eat to ingest one gram of mushroom powder?

You can just got somewhere and buy like some gelcap vitamins like cayan pills open them up and empty out. I think they are real cheap like $2 for 100 pills.

k call me stupid...

but how do you put them into the gelcaps? i read the tek here, but im not sure i understand the "tamping rod" thing.

Well it's talking about something to pack the stuff into the capsule with. I use a pen to cram it in when i make capsules, and yea it really does compact well.

So you just compact it into one side of the gelcap, then put the lid on, so you are really just filling one half of the gel, right?

No you fill the first part (the larger part) as much as you can and then you fill the "top" with some more, remembering that some of the two parts is going to overlap. Once that is done you push them together and once you have done it a few times you will be experienced with the right amounts to put in get basically a full cap.

Generally fill the longer side with as much as it can hold and then the shorter part about halfway to 3/4.

And how much does a normal 00 capsule contain? How do you measure your dose?

This one I have. I have a beam scale that measures to .001 grams. The average loss from grinding was .007 grams. The first time I did this I spent several minutes with tweezers picking a little at a time to make it 1 gram on the mark! Then after doing 5 grams I realized that most scales people use do not even measure below .01 grams. Now I just get it close to 1 gram and let it go. So far no one has complained. :wink:
