I get sick from shrooms (help)!

Hopefully someone with more experience than me can help me with a little problem. I am fairly new to shrooms (last night was 4th time). 2 of the 4 times, I have gotten really sick. The first time I got sick, I had 2 beers, but nothing else and I didn't eat alot of shrooms. Last night I had some and mixed with a hit of x (spaced about 1 hour apart). I was at a concert and was fine till I got up and started dancing. I started pouring sweat and shaking and spent the first half on the ground (no fun). Anyway, I have heard different things, 1. that mixing alcohol will make you sick and 2. that moving too fast will make you sick. I'm sure the x didn't help last night either.

So, can someone give me some suggestions to keep this from happening again. I'm planning a weekend in New Orleans with a bunch of friends and I would like to not spend it on the ground if possible. Sometimes I feel really wonderful and others, well, it just sucks! Is there anything I can take or do beforehand that might help. Thanks guys!!!

I'm not sure why you get sick. maybe try not to mix shrooms with other drugs. And also dont eat at least 4 houres before taking shrooms, this can prevent nausia or sickness. so try to take 'em on an empty stomach.
1: I'm not sure about the alcohol, I'm not having troubles on that one.
2: you can move fast, no problem. maybe because of the X you got overheated. try to drink more(no alcohol).

Any nausia you have from shrooms should stop after an hour or two (I think). If you're getting sick from mixing drugs....don't mix drugs. Pretty simple.

Just eat the srooms (empty stumach could help) and sit down for an hour or so until you don't feel sick anymore. If you get up and feel sick, just chill out in a chair for a while.

Is kinda interesting, but I find the opposite true for me. One time I ate my shrooms on an empty felt sick the entire trip.From then on, I've been making a mushroom soup and putting them in that. It has helped so much.So, I don't eat much for 4-6hrs prior to ingesting them. Then, I have them in soup, and that fixed that problem. Try doing them by themselves. No alcohol, no x.Good luck.

Shrooms and "X" is a bad idea.....

who would take a drug named "X"?, it even sounds like its a mystery.

my first MDMA pill that i got at a rave had a little X on it, needless to say it was also the last pill i got that said X on it.  I also don't buy from raves anymore, as the E is never pure, and I can always hook pure now any day of the week

true, unless you know the source, taking X is not a good idea :wink: especially since you can replace "X" with many drugs

It must be hard to trip if you anthropomorphize your shrooms.

i think this is obvious (although every time i seem so damn sure i am wrong.) lets see what others think. Ecstasy dehydrates you. Alcohol dehydrates you. Drink lots of water you shmuck.

a friend of mine and I rolled at this rave for the first time and we were totally into it ... then one day he rolled with some other people WHILE drinking, and got sick and decided to never roll again. i think alcohol is one of the poorest choices of a drug to mix with MDMA. why would you want to do it in any case?

It must be hard to trip if you anthropomorphize your shrooms.

you shmucks don't read very well. This person is obviously just asking for any experience others have had. They didn't say they took alcohol with E, obviously that's not a good idea. This person is got sick off of just shrooms & alcohol, then shrooms & E (not alcohol). Anyway, since everyone else is resorting to name calling and just being plain assholes, I would suggest just not eating a few hours before taking shrooms and don't mix drugs if you have a weak stomach. looks like you just said the same thing most everyone else did, "dont use any other drugs with the shrooms next time", nice observation on your part....

Drying, grinding and packing into gelcaps may help quite a bit with nausea....;)

Best taken on an empty stomach. But many brew the mushrooms in a tea. I always have a root of Ginger around, or ground Ginger spice in large quantities because it is perfect for  not having nausea. Usually  I drink a cup of hot water and a teaspoon full of ground ginger mixed in it,honey makes it nice and it coats the throat so when you chew the mushrooms they are not going to give you nausea. Have some tea around IF much later you do feel nausea maybe 4-5 hours later.
Have you tried Ginger for nausea?

You can just not take mushrooms. That would solve the problem. Especially if they tend to have you on your back, maybe you should take them at home in silent darkness instead of out and about? Because mushrooms are known for having you on the ground. Also, a tea.

I’d offer you a few tips of advice here, with the benefit of 33 years of psilocybin use :thumbup:

Firstly,  I have only ever eaten mushrooms once. Never fancied it when I saw the amount of maggots that would float out of a bag of liberty caps when making a tea; me and the ex used to strain the mushrooms and maggots with a pair of her tights :eek:

Last year I decided to give microdosing a try. I cut myself a 0.2g stalk of Cubensis and ate that. First it tasted gross, got stuck in my teeth, and took what felt like hours of chewing before I could swallow it. Then I got the most insane nausea for probably the next hour.

I have NEVER had this from tea.

Don’t get me wrong, I do occasionally get nauseous. Sometimes I reckon it’s because the mushrooms were too cracker dry so basically turned to powder when I crushed them to make tea, so slipped through the straining cloth. Other times it could just be the mushrooms or general physiology.

But then other times I’ve gotten nauseous for too vigorous dancing!

So you need to understand every trip is different and sometimes,,whatever you do, you could feel nauseous. Try tea. If you want that intense rush short peak and quick clean comedown, mix with lemon juice before adding water and boiling. And do boil: at least 10 minutes, then simmer for another  10. Cool then strain.

I have definitely noticed when I do t he full 20 minutes, the trips are stronger than if I do a shorter boil. And you cannot damage the chemicals by boiling; this takes far higher temps than you can achieve in boil9ng water.

If i picked them from the wild they go into the tea pot. But i don't have ill feelings during the trip. I do how ever get a vicious bout of diarrhea shortly after the peak and during the comedown. But that is very short lived. Just a quick squirt of material and im on my way.
The last time i took some i took just over 5g and at first it was daunting. The sight of the amount i was about to chew down made my soul squirm. But after the first bite i realized they are no where near as bad as i was making it out to be. I also try to have a glass of OJ for a chaser and i'm good to go.

I am usually picking material out of my teeth for a least 10-15 minutes.
